Echoing the language of the 15th Amendment, the Act prohibits states from imposing any "voting qualification or prerequisite to voting, or standard, practice, or procedure ... to deny or abridge the right of any citizen of the United States to vote"(W*kipedia).

Dear Jagex, How can you allow only paying players at the moment voting rights, and not those who have paid for membership for years? Are you thus discriminating against our opinions in hope that this will not be brought back? Jagex are not giving everyone a fair chance to vote, not only that, but those who get to vote are only of 200,000 or less. Now what makes you think all of them are going to vote Yes? Not all of them are in favor of Old Runescape. Please Jagex give your loyal players a chance to vote. This is not fair for everyone and you guys know it.

I don't care if they don't abide by the U.S. laws, how is this fair in any way?
Give the players a chance to express their opinions without paying to vote!!

Is Jagex that concerned about getting memberships? If they just released the game, didn't waste peoples time to vote then people would spend money and buy the membership. What fun will it be if EVERYONE is a member? I miss the old F2P days, but I guess its going to be just P2P.

Everyone starts fresh. item prices may go up. no Rares though?. Old Graphics! plain and simple slash and block! But im not going to reset my account, ive used way too much time if i would do that. Though i will 99% likely make a new account and start with that one :D

All of you saying that u want a 2008-2011 server clearly didnt play back in 2004-2007.... If you did play back then you would want a old server like me. TY jagex finally for listening to community!

I'll be making 2 of my accounts member, and be sure to let
all my in real life friends that have quit, to be sure to renew that membership
and get to voting, simply because that's where we became friends, and that's
where all the memories lay.

August 2007, is the perfect time. I loved the 474 gameframe more than any other
gameframe update. I also want to make a wish. I hope you guys can bump that up to about November 2007, or make an exception and implement bounty hunter craters. If not, no biggie. 2007 was my favorite year.

I want this to happen. It's a shame the vote is member's only, though, and that the amount of active members will never be able to get a cheap version of prime RS. It seems like a clever formula to entice people to buy membership in hopes of an old experience, but if not enough people fall for it, then they charge additional membership fees for the ability to play an over five-year-old version of the game. The business model is straight up backwards.

What they NEED to do is allow ALL members to vote in addition to ALL players accounts created before August 2007 with 1000+ hours of logged time. This will make it so current members AND veterans that have moved on will BOTH get a voice in this.

Oh yeah, played since 2004, own a max cape, quit mid 2012, if that's relevant. If this is kept as a member's-only poll, Jagex likely won't see a single subscription from old veterans unless the poll is already close to 750k. If it does come back though, many old players might end up renewing their subscriptions for nostalgia's sake.

Yes! Finally all those petitions and threads got up there and made a point. Well after my near 10 years of playtime in this game, this is probably the best news I've read, ever.

You kids can have your crappy graphics and nostalgia with these silly 2007 RS servers, I'd rather play a game that receives constant updates and improves over time. Stuff happens, just gotta deal with it and move on.

Accounts should have to be AT LEAST one week old to vote.

This will prevent rich kids from making like, thirty accounts, just to vote. Cause' you know people will totally do it.

Jagex needs to make this poll as flawless as possible. I'm all for people getting their old servers back, but I just have this sinking feeling that multiple 1-month membership accounts will be made just to vote.
