so i am a paying member then and now, yet if this happens then i get reset?

i did like the game back then, i do think this is a cool idea, but, i have a couple of suggestions.

1. let us either keep our current account on there, or (if possible) set us to our stats at that time. (the latter is prob not possible.)

2. give current members access to the members content, and any f2p stay f2p on those servers.

well that's my 2 cents, not worth much i know but atleast i put it out there. also Jagex does need to add a no option to the poll. any1 remember the wildy poll delima?

The point of Old RS is that there are no rich people already in game, you'll have to earn your cash just like everyone else, not just given to you by rares.

Did you not read the thread sir the friends list and chat system will be interlocked so you will still be able to chat with them as much as you do now.

Quick Question, what will happen to our items if we decide to play the new server ? Will we start off as level 3's with nothing or will we keep our items and stats ?

This does sound interesting.
One thing it reminds me of is pking/pvping in the wilderness, if I'm right.
I think, at that time, it was still possible to pk, like we used to.

But this also reminds me of RuneScape Classic.
The one and only, and I dare say, the only true old school RuneScape.

I ask you, J-mods, please don't neglect RuneScape Classic.
Another 'Classic' like RuneScape is fine, but don't forget the Classic community that still exists, how small it is.

At our beloved Classic game (wich is the way what the longest playing players brought up and remember), it is still run by several bots.
We can't let that continue.

If this is a bad example, learn from what has happened/is happening here and take the necessary precautions. -=RuneScape and RuneFest veteran=- (20 Year Veteran cape, when?)
Whenever there is a discussion between RS3 and OSRS; remember Classic tops RS and OSRS. ^_^

750k votes for "no extra membership fee and the free portion of the game available to all."

750,000 * 7.95 = 5,962,500 USD

They expect to receive almost 6 million dollars to open ONLY THE F2P version of the 2007 server to the public and then charge the default 7.95 USD for members on the 2007 server.
