Didn't see this one coming. Literally.
Though 2006-2009 was my golden age as far as RuneScape goes - and I would prefer personally the 2007 game.. I don't think this is the right choice as far as a time period for a separate server.
Don't get me wrong - I play nothing but RS Classic these days. Literally, I'm stuck in 2003.. But in the games best interest I think a 2009-2012 (pre EOC) would be in the games best interest as far as revenue to keep the game alive.
I loved 2007 like I said, and anything past 2009 I hated.. But everyone else seemed to enjoy it and I think pre EOC servers, even though I personally wouldn't play them, is what is needed to keep this game alive.
I don't want any game to have the same fate as RSC. We're in need of support, and a 2007 server will meet the same slow death, as much as I hate to admit it.
I will vote. And I will hope we get to the 750k mark. But at the same time I'm sad for what I know is going to happen to the servers.
Anyone saying "No I'm not voting, I don't want to play that game" - you are all selfish people. And you should know Jagex is making this out to be more than it really is. It's a backup. You throw it onto a server and start it up. It's not much work. ***** sake, pull your head out of your asses and support your friends and community that want this update. It's a vote that won't affect you in any way, so stop crying like the little ***** you are.
And the people for this update - remember.. We can bring the game back, but it's still the same ****** community and 12 year olds occupying it.
2007 servers will fail without support. Just as RSC has. But we can all have hope, can't we?
