I'm not sure how I feel about this.

I will most definitely vote, and will play around on it for a while, but only a while. Chances are I'll get bored and play the main game more often. Having said that, I know many players who would adore this update.

Oh, and concerning the fact that it's an 07 server, not 06; you recently closed what was possibly the most heavily supported private server in RuneScape's history. It was an almost PERFECT remake of the game in 2006. Wouldn't it have been possible to use THEIR game engine as opposed to one of your own? Or allow the moderators of that server to legally support it, as an addition to the main game?

Also, will rares be added to the game? How will they work? I'm just a man; I'm not a hero.

I was afraid Jagex might stick to one year (2007). This definitely will not please everyone though especially me. As a pker from 07 until now I enjoyed the Craters and PvP worlds the most.

It is better to have something rather than nothing however but its still pretty disppointing, and the number of votes veterans are wanting may not be the number expected because people like me that are displeased with the year released.

Another thing that's disappointing is that there won't be any Godwards... since it was released on the 28th and these servers are from the 10th.

I definitely don't think we should RESET EVERYTHING though. I know for myself and many other people that the time they've invested into this game is MASSIVE, and to restart an account I've been working on for 5 or 6 years...no thank you.

I believe they should reset or wipe banks clean but keep our same stats. They should give you the option to start all over again but not force it on us... As skilling can be fun I just can't find the time anymore, and I don't want to spend another 5+ years to obtain my account again.

This is awesome!! But just one question...

Will we get to keep our items and stats and bring them to old RuneScape?

If not, please make this an option so we don't have to play 2007 as noobs!!

At roughly 1,800,000 paying members currently according to the highscores surely it can't be that difficult to get atleast tier 3(500,000) on the ladder to we don't have to pay extra? After all it's not like voting is going to hurt anybody at all even the EOC supporters. With nearly 2 million paying players even if only half acknowledge this poll then again only half of those people have to vote in favor for it.... I like my odds :)

I think many people are overreacting. This will be completely optional on the off chance it gets passed decently. On top of that resources will only be reallocated to oldscape for 1-2 months. Then it will just have basic maintenance/bug fixes with no new updates. If anything the biggest appeal of this is runescape without micro transactions. I personally love the idea of playing it without them again so everybody is on even ground. FYI not everyone loves eoc. I'll admit its not bad but it reminds me of every other mmo with an action bar. Literally every other single 1 including wow has 1 of these things. I miss the old style relaxed fighting with cool weapon specials and things like barrows actually being high lv gear. Is a lot of my feelings just nostalgia? Of course it is, but at the same time I know I truly enjoyed the game more back then, than I do today. At that point in time I had already been playing 3-4 years anyways so the "new and exciting" feeling was already long gone and isn't influencing my decision. Personally I love the g.e and don't particularly like the idea of w2 fally trading again tho. There is good and bad. I don't even 100% remember the year 2007. Was there free trade? Was there no staking? I hope there was still free trade and staking at that time, but I don't remember everything. I do remember I liked it way better back then. This will have near no effect on players who have no plans on participating. So stop ruining it for the rest of us just because "I don't like it eoc for life blah blah blah". You remind me of a bunch of religious nuts trying to push their beliefs such as 2 men or 2 women not being able to get married. Get over it.
