i quit playing runescape about 6 months ago and i saw a video with (old school runescape) title and went STRAIGHT here, i'm grateful for jagex listening to all the feedback and taking the time to make old runescape servers. Thats the runescape i loved, no other game could beat that. it wouldn't suprize me if the votes pass well over 750 000. If old runescape came back i would unsubscribe from all the games i play now and sit my ass on RS for the rest of my life, me and my friends grew up to this game. That being said i do not care about starting over my account, though hours upon hours of my time went into skilling, trainning, and money making, i would give it all up to see the return of the old runescape we all love.

I FULLY SUPPORT THIS UPDATE

Love the idea of RS before Eoc BUT starting again?
No way, skilling used to be affectionately called "grinding" because most were incredibly boring - they still are but there are also newer and improved ways to earn better and quicker xp.

I'd be happier just to re-roll back to before EoC and keep my hard earned levels and skills.

I seriously cant wait for this update! but the one question that is bugging me the most!
will there be godwars?! i dont mind godwars in fact i love godwars! i think that godswords being one of the most powerful weapons in the game was both a good and bad thing, plus bossing bring people together! but, the main point is you guys are bringing back my game! and i cant wait! but id really like to know, will there be godwars?

There are plenty of things that the current game have that you would miss in a 2007 server. More run energy and such.

This is just to name a few of the advantages of playing the current runescape. In 2013 the comunity may be worse but jagex have managed to scail up the userfriendlyness of it's intrefaces and the game as a whole. I don't think you realize how much you take forgranted things like quick prayer, The run icon near the mini map, The coin pouch, left click banking, camra controlls, Friend's chats.

People who claim that the previous system required more skill are partly correct. Pre eoc pking did require skill (particularly Hibriding), However the skills where in traversing a poorly disigned interface and abusing a broken combat system. I did respect Hibrid pking and I was sad to see it go. However the new system requires skills that where intended instead the skill of manipulating a confusing combat system*

**;DR: The games interface was horrendous back then and jagex has done loads of work in streamlining it.

Oh, I hope everyone that quit will come back. I will definitely be recommending Runescape again to people. This is a great choice, I just hope it wasn't too late.
