I think they are hoping to get a massive influx of new members that are joining only to vote. They may just manage it.

So, who is going to ask the bots what their plan is? They will be the deciders, seeing as the mass bots already constantly buy membership and would probably be fine with buying the full 750k if they wanted.

Well you've given these players what they asked for "Old Runescape". I read the first 30 pages of these thread, but most of it seemed the same, so posted here now.

Good job on making the "poll" members only. If players are serious about this proposal then they can show their commitment by putting their money where their mouth is. Also good that you are not allowing trial/f2p vote, as we all know that this would bring forth a torrent of "voting bots", as what happened with free trade/wildy vote.

I think it's fair that everyone starts on the same level, gives an even base for everyone. I may even consider having an account on a 2007 server, just to supply the pkers with items as a skiller lol. Was what I did back then. Don't allow imports of accounts from 2013, as most of these players will have come from a ps, and there they have to start from lvl3. Shouldn't make any difference to be honest.

I think the voting targets are realistic, I have read that a ps had 500k registered members. 250k+ votes will bring the price of a 2007 server down to an additional $5 a month, and if the 500K+ goal is met, then no extra membership fee. Considering the amount of players posting about this over the last several months, 250k is doable goal. I doubt you will get a "jaw dropping 1.4 million votes", but let's hope the vote can gain 500k+ votes, so additional costs are not involved for players .

I will probably vote "yes" to help these players out, but unsure if I'll play 2007 servers.

I know i'm going to get alot of hate from this-But this is a horrible idea.
You guys that a re pushing so hard for this, do you realize that its 2007.

Did you even take into consideration, that your not going to have any of the skills that were released after Auguat 2007. Your not going to have any of the bosses that were released, after. No recent quests. No torva, and most of our favorite armor will not be existance in this 2007scape server. So i asked you, those who want this to happen.

What will be the point? It may be fun and exiting at first! But then what?
Your going to get bored, and tired of it! This is why we have the game we have today. New content, updates. It's jagex trying to BETTER the game, keep it NOT boring.

Your going to regreat it greatly, i give you two weeks and you'll be tired of it, making your way back to runescape 2013! I say, jagex should make it to where you play 2007 server, you cant come back to our current game since you cant appreciate what theyve done. Instead, youve taken their focus away from eoc, the MAIN runescape. Just so you can have your way.

This is not aimed towards jagex, this is for the players who THINK that they want this so badly. You should really think long and hard about it, and reconsider.

I believe, that eventually this "2007 server" in the near future, wont have a single player on it. So go ahead, ask and vote for this to happen. I dont understand why everyone cant just play our current game. Jagex is only making these new updates for us on 2013 runescape-eoc, just for us. So we dont get bored of the same old content.

I seriously hope this gets seen by many of you. And you decide to think long and hard about what your voting for.

I love how similar this is to the large suggestion I posted a year ago relating to past-servers.

I am in favour of the aspect that F2P accounts cannot vote. This will hopefully help to avoid poll manipulation like the re-introduction of the Free Trade/Wilderness poll was victim to.

The following are a couple prime questions I have relating to the update, before I vote on the poll:

1) What are your plans for high alchemy? Will it exist?

2) Will the Grand Exchange be added to this server?

3) Will tradeable rares exist?

Ideally, I would like to see "no" as an answer to each of these questions. Below are the guidelines I had for a past-server update, when I posted the suggestion last year.

- High alchemy would be removed from the game in order to prevent the current effects seen from it (trillions of GP entering the game, manipulating the economy).

- Grand Exchange either removed or heavily restricted in order to prevent exploitation. Community trade would potentially be a mainstay within Rebooted Runescape servers, but because of the tight-knit community and personal value of items, would not require spamming to the extent needed today to trade.

- Rares are non-existent within Rebooted Runescape. Non-tradeable holiday items/emotes/music could potentially carry over onto Rebooted Runescape, provided Jagex links the accounts similar to the current Runescape/RS:Classic situation.

I look forward to what this update offers. I can see myself actually "playing" the game again with everyone put onto fresh servers, with a clean slate. This is much more desirable than the current method of play that I find myself partaking in.

Might I also suggest that gold members of the Runescape Club introduced this year not be penalized by an increased cost to membership that these servers may bring (if it surpasses 200k votes)? This could increase your potential number of future Runescape Club members, if they see such benefits available.

I know it's gonna be back as a level 1, and maybe... just MAYBE level 2 and that's absolutely farfetched. There are many reasons why: 1) As someone has already stated, many players who like the old system have already quit. 2) Not everyone is going to vote. 3) You need to be a member to vote. 4) Only 2 weeks to vote. ROFL! We simply just don't have enough players to reach these outrageous marks of 500k or 750k, which are the most desirable situations, within this short period.

Honestly, I guess this is Jagex's way of making more money(what a surprise) and telling us that the old RS is not desirable enough and to just deal with it(EoC). I think they have been looking at the statistics of players to be able to predict what level we will reach in these 2 weeks. They already know that level 3 and 4 CANNOT be reached.

are you guys serious? all the people who want to bring back old rs QUIT because of the new game, meaning they are no longer a member.................. thats the people who are wanting to vote for this, not the people who are still currently playing. these "members" currently are not the dedicated ones, the ones who are still around and care about the game enough to push the issue and even think about coming back,

THOSE are the dedicated ones. Jagex props for bringing this back but you guys really did not think this vote through.

I dont understand why you cant just let us log into accounts that are already existing, because that means we USED to play the game, and can vote.
