I, most certainly, am abstaining from the vote.
People need to learn to move on, and move forward. Runescape is famous for its weekly updates, and, as such, people who play need to learn things will always be changing and evolving.
Bringing in a '2007' server will certainly split the community, as many will rush to their nostalgia servers. It will lead to even bigger clashing beliefs than Free Trade and Wilderness referendum from 2011.
Also, I personally suspect on launch day, many will flood the 2007 servers to either see what it was like, or for nostalgia, but they will quickly realize how much they don't like it.
Everyone will be starting from scratch, which I feel will put many players off. Also, soon people will learn that, despite 'killing the community', the Grand Exchange is a vital tool for Runescape life. I'm also sure many players will be saddened by lack of gravestones, lots of content missing, etc.
People are currently blinded by nostalgia, and once they see what it's really like, I feel RS2007 will go the way of RSC, only being played by a small group of cult followers.
I know you won't be investing any current resources into it, but this 'special team' is a group of resources that could be used to improve the current game. I strongly agree with this decision, and feel it's simply to please the (Albeit, vocal) minority.
Well, those are my thoughts. I voted 'no' to Free Trade and Wilderness return, out of fear of a massive return of bots and RWT-ing. And hey, I was right! So, I'll be following my hunch once more by not voting, and will pray that the community chooses what's best for the game.
Cheers.
