On topic: Distribute rares as they were distributed originally. That is the only way of doing it without mass amounts of people complaining.

this is my idea for the rares

every special day of the year any admin of runescape will do a event to give the winner of the event a rare


another idea is that any rare will be dropped in a random place in runescape 2007 and it will not disappear for a period of time

I think a chronological rare drop for each holiday season would be fine. So, on the first christmas, there'd be crackers, and so on. Rares don't have to be valuable items.

Then again, I think worrying about rares at this point is assuming that we'll get enough votes for the game to be in a playable state, which this vote is set up to prevent....

So, yeah, I don't think that should be the biggest point of discussion in this thread.

But I've started a 2007 Oldschool fc so everyone can hangout and discuss their opinions on the Server.

I have a few suggestions for the rare item dilemma:

1. Don't implement any rares in the 2007 server, rares had already been dropped prior and the ones that existed then are either gone or currently in EoC. (Logical route to take)

2. Implement rare items as non-tradable cosmetics, which can be obtained at Draynor from Diango. (Please every one)

3. Allow players to transfer their rares onto 2007 server, but once transferred they CANNOT be transfered back to EOC. (I personally don't recommend this, as it will destroy the both versions economy, but it's an idea)

4. Some one mentioned selling rare items for 500m. Personal opinion, it will promote RWT and bots. ---Rock Start
