Well i only have 1 question, do you have the account data from 2007?
if you do, then i don't see why we should start from scratch, as it will take (atleast) months to get the economy to what it actually was in 2007. Not to mention stats.
It just doesn't make sense to start from absolutely scratch, as the hard work we (pre-2007 players) put in our accounts will just go down the drain.
To me, there's no point to start playing from scratch.

As for the 'fairness' of starting from scratch, i believe that having veteran players on a 'new' game wil benefit the community more than everyone starting from scratch.
It's one thing to start from scratch on a game with somewhat of economy, then starting fresh on a game with no economy at all.

Regardless to what i stated above, i will be supporting the 2007 servers, just to see what it's like when it returns to the game.

Looking forward to any replies\extra information on the starting from scratch subject,

in regrades to updates , i dont know if i read this right but didn't they say if we get the 750k that we get to vote on what updates we want in the game ? i enjoyed some of the updates they added( not grand exchange loved world 2 shopping) WOOT WOOT FALLY DAYS ARE RETURNING

Let's say 750k people do vote for this. This means a community of 750k people will be playing.

According to current information, there is 8.2million active players over a two week period. They are supported by the 139 servers. If this is true, then factoring that in 750k players could be supported by 12.7 servers. 13 servers is all we would need for a community of that size. I don't see this as being too difficult for a company of Jagex's size to handle.
