I think the voting targets are way too high at the moment and that the results for each tier of votes is FAR too concrete at this point in time.

I just read the news post and it sounds like the polls will only be open for 2 weeks. I am certain we will be able to get tens of thousands of votes, possibly hundreds of thousands of votes - but there is just simply NO WAY it will reach the 750k+ mark in 2 weeks.

I mean RuneScape only has a solid 60,000 or so REAL PLAYERS who are actively playing the game. I'm sure we can get tens of thousands of extra votes from retired players or people who have quit, but there is no guarantee that the news will reach them within the 2 week time period that the polls are available for voting.

Anybody else think they should adjust the target numbers to a more realistic level that is parallel to the actual amount of members who play the game regularly? (not including bots)

JMods, I'm BEGGING you not to support this. It's an extremely unwise idea.

The biggest proponents of the old rs game expect the community they remember to return; they even ignore the low xp rates and horribly unbalanced combat system for the dream that the pking, skilling, and pvm communities they remember will return.

Not only will RS2007 not revive a positive community, it will divide players more.

Clans will not work with a microcosm community expected from a "backup" server*

**'ing will not last forever. In fact****'ing will face the same trend it has seen after every PK'ing update you've given.

Once high prices will still eventually drop. Not only this, but old "top-tier" gear will have lost its magic, and become unimpressive/cheap.

Rares will probably be nonexistent due to the accounts being reset to lvl 3 (Tut island in august/october 2007?

Lastly, pre-ge RS will depend heavily on a player-led market, which will at least be smaller than it is now due to the player server divide.

As they'd have to be paying members, well, $7.95 * 750,000 is almost $6mil, just to vote. What do you think?

I belive we should not have to start from level 3 this defeats the objective of having a main account , at least let us use old account that we are using now, think off all the money that we have spent on membership, hardly seems fair in my opinion.
