This is awesome!! But just one question...

Will we get to keep our items and stats and bring them to old RuneScape?
You peer into a Chapel of Zamorak, which appears to be abandoned. Before you can close the doors again, a Revenant Chaos-Bringer flies at you and slays you instantly with a bolt of Shadow Lightning. Oh dear! You are dead!

Honestly I'm glad they made this option, and glad they made it a high mark to shoot for. Have to be mems? Good. Prove you're serious. 500k for it to be free? Good. It will take a lot to run more servers, and for once Jagex is sticking to the idea that there can't be something for nothing. This idea has good business and good gaming written all over it. It's what the players asked for, in a way that puts our real support to a real test. Honestly if it were any other way, I'd say it was another cheap sham destined to fail.

To whoever said "to counter the bots trying to get '07 up and running", bots near enough killed runescape, the reason why '07 was so good is that everyone played their part to get the supplies the community needs in order to get stuff that they themselves needed, I love going slaying and getting drops other people will use, but currently I think "yay I'm helping the community" then I realize that the bots already have that well under control, it kind of ruins my fun a bit...

But that is probably just me, I love having a fully player run economy with all of the resources gathered by the community, it was one of the drawing features of runescape, now we have bots (basically NPC's) running around supplying us with everything we would ever need totally ruining that aspect of the game, how ever small it may be.

we will be without the following things

16 October - The Clan chat system is updated with the addition of the LootShare function.
5 November - The Assist System is added, and the look of the skill icons are updated.
26 November - The Grand Exchange is released.
Two new Activities, Clan Wars and Bounty Hunter, are added to the Wilderness. In addition, the Wilderness becomes home to Revenants and PKing became much more limited compared to how it traditionally was.

Have fun without these VITAL things, you people who cling to such nostalgia will soon realize the error of what you are doing.
