Starting again on this server provides players the opportunities to be able to top score catch up to the best RS players, because in the Current Live Game, they will NEVER be able to, its literally impossible unless you play nonstop for the next 5-6 years.

Note: no-one cares about have the best bank since the economy is ruined now, its all about the account stats again the the quests you have completed <3

Xmezmerized, the GE is nothing but a price manipulator, and is not needed in 2007 runescape, Im so sick of merch clans messing with people and making you loose everything you have, we will also have pking back and in 2009 servers we wouldnt. Not to mention, free trade will be back in these servers to.

The only thing i could suggest is to redo mithril seeds, this way dicers wont be able to use them :) .

Or you can just let us keep what stats and wealth we have now. there is no way 2007scape will hold it's glory if people start at level 3 again. People are older, we play a lot less. We want the old days because of how glorious it was to play (pk mainly) we aren't wanting them back to start fresh and waste another 2 years getting back stats. No way in hell I can get my current stats back in the old game.. 13 99s.. and now I only play a few hours a day :/ I work 9 hours, kid on the way, and have other stuff to do. you're just asking for bots to infest the 2007 servers. I promise you there will be bots if this idea goes through...

@Brian Anthoy, yes i understand what you mean, but i dont play the game for a nice bank, i play for the experience and if your successful at the game. the G.E just made trading soo much better but like with everything, people missus it all to their advantage

That is flawed logic though. It also allows for people who put in their hard time and work back when they could to be put back to where they started; so now the people who are able to play RS alot (hs/jr high) students get a playing advantage?

If you think of it like this... Runescape came around 01? about 12 years ago? So people who were 14 at the time and could put up 6+ hours a day training such as current 14-17 yr olds. These 14 yr olds back in 01 are now 27+ they have full time jobs/families... why is it fair for us to start over and not be able to get anywhere when all runescape players now that are in school can easily put in hours on the game.

Its true tho, with me being able to play back then in grade 9, and im 20+ now, i cant afford to put in the hours like before, but im just saying, if someone was able to play 24hrs a day, they still dont have a chance to catch up to the best since they already put 10-years into it already..

if you get what im trying to say :P

There is only about 800,000 member accounts who have gained more than 1 experience. So how are we suppose to reach 750,000 votes when many people ignore the forums and just go right to playing the game.

This polls introduction was horribly flawed. They gave basic information about what this update would consist of. There's a huge crowd of misinformed people who won't vote because they believe it'll hurt the main game in some way, shape, or form.

What they should have done is just released this, made it a completely seperate game with it's own membership system. Start the membership out at $5.00. Honestly I don't care, make it even $10.00 or more, but I will not pay for the Current RuneScape.

It should be completely available to both FREE and Members without having to pay any additional fee's towards the current RuneScape, since I myself will not play the Current RuneScape.

If they wanted this poll to be fair, then on the login there should have been an announcement about this, along with a SERVER MESSAGE every hour, or something. Without this they lose a huge amount of available votes.

It seems more like the only purpose in this poll is to create a fake view on what the player want, hope that the votes don't exceed 250,000 and then when the server's are $23.00 a month wait for it to slowly die, so that no one will bother speaking about wanting old RuneScape anymore. It's clear that Old RuneScape is widely developed through Private Server which were taken down, now with a chance to bring it back. They have chosen a few awful way of doing it.

They should of at the very least made a promotional video, detailing the old RuneScape. Exactly what this update entails, and how it will not effect the Current RuneScape. Instead they made some stupid time travel video and the first lines are "Worst Update Ever". Are you serious?

Everyone please, we need 750,000 votes to bring this back correctly. Without them it'll never succeed which is what Jagex wants.

I see your argument, but it shouldnt be a catch up game... hypothetically say it takes 10 yrs to max your acc...

your have Zezima who put in his 10 yrs.. and a brand new account from 11'... now the 11' puts in his 10 yrs and get his maxed account would it be fair for zezima to put in another 10 yrs a total of 20yrs for that same maxed account that it took the 11' player to get?

This whole poll is flawed. Jagex strategically set the limits, so it's more or less guaranteed to get the minimum threshold, which will allow the servers to get put up.. for an extortionate amount of money. There are probably less than 250K human members, which means that if the 500K or 750K targets are to be hit, people will have to subscribe just to vote. It's unlikely to hit that many, but people will try anyway, and they'll rake in a fortune if a few hundred thousand people subscribe in the next couple of weeks. In all honesty though, I don't think Jagex do it out of greed, but out of desperation. They've screwed up this game far too much, and now they can't fix it. RuneScape is no longer Jagex's game, it's Jagex's business.

Where's Andrew Gower when you need him, huh?
