I do not mind the EOC. I just do not like free trade(scams and gambling with rwt). The 2007 does not have free trade, or goldfarmer bots. I prefer the current game, but I would love to play again without goldfarmers, and gamblescams.

Free trade was still in the game in August 2007, they only took free trade and wildy out in December 2007.

If you learnt to read you would know that bringing the servers you want would be impossible. The only backup that is suitable for this is the 10th August 2007, and Jagex changed their backup system meaning no suitable backups from the time-period you "requested" are available.

Please recognise the huge step Jagex have taken in bringing 2007 servers back to the game instead of flaming at them. Also don't say that everyone wanted PvP worlds and bounty hunter as reading through this thread you will quickly see that is far from the truth.

I'm slowly loosing hope. Its like 1k votes in 30mins now... Probs most of the active players have voted already, like max 50k more in the next 2 weeks.. :/

So so sad. If it dosn't reach atleast 250k, it will come crashing down.

Boy my memory is bad. Oh well there goes that. The gold farmer bots will still be there.
I guess it will not be much better than now. My apologies. I thought free trade was taken out sooner. I am sorry that I did not remember correctly. I will take that part out.

I would still play on the server though, if everybody starts off the same. I think that could prove to be interesting, and fun.

I'm quite torn if I'm completely honest. I've played Rs for just over 9 years and have accepted every update with open arms. EOC however, I wasn't so keen as to other updates, but as I started to play it more and more It has grown on me quite a bit.

2007 - Runescape for me was a great year. A year of pking, skilling and a great all round community. I had many friends and much to do in this time era of RuneScape.

I am extremely happy and supportive of both EOC and the return on 2007 Rs, and I will be playing both.

Thank you for finally listening to those who have wanted a update like this for a while, you will see differences in the community.. I'm sure.

Although i LOVE that an old version of RS is coming back, this 2007 version is missing too much for me as i started in 08. Please at least add Godwars, though i would prefer if GE was still in, i dont like having to trade to shops.

I like to think the combat triangle was at least slightly balanced at 10th of August 2007.

Godwars changed that - From that point on it was Melee all the way. Ranged received some updates (but nothing compared to melee) and Magic received basically none.

The arms-race for overpowered weapons is part of what changed Runescape. I would be fine with godwars added back if the weapons were the same strength as or weaker than barrows weapons (minus the degrading).
