I think the vast majority who say 2009/10/11 was better than 2007 have just never played it. A few may have and simply prefer the newer versions and thats perfectly fine, but I say this to anybody who has not played 2007 or earlier; it really was the golden age. It seems to be inevitable nostalgia to like best the year you started playing and I think I'll always like 2004 the best (although 05 and 06 were brilliant too)

My only fear is that these servers will NOT bring back the one thing that I long for the most, and yet the one thing that can never come back fully and that's the old school community. However, the servers themselves are definately the next best thing, I just hope they don't get filled with as much arrogance and hate that I often find in the current game :\

Overall though I honestly can't wait, I've wanted this for years and it's extremely satisfying to know that Jagex are listening to us, so a big thankyou

Dear Mod MMG,

I am interested in playing the 2007 server. I want to give you my reasons, and suggestions. I really want you to READ this that I am writing to you.


There are some changes that I will mention. I am for them, and I will give a good valid reason for my support of these conditions. To have NO rares. I think the situation with rares can create an elitist "I am better than you" type of attitude that is ruining the community in the current game. I want to see the game played in the TRUE spirit of Runescape, with people skilling, and pvming, and pking, and everybody working for their OWN bank gp, instead of somebody that was super lucky, or worse,



somebody who used RWT methods to acquire the wealth. A level playing field to start anew in, would truly be a breath of fresh air for Runescape. I want to see the player run economy rise from the skilling, resource gathering, and loot from pk, or pvm, without a certain group of players getting a lottery win over others. Let the money in game be gotten from actually doing something.

To start over with no levels, except the ones you start with, and maybe some small amount of gp, or a few skilling tools. You might have to throw in a few extra cowfields, because we will all start out in there .

Do not just transfer us into the game in lumby. Put us into some kind of tutorial island, like the old timey days.

Edited all of that out once I found out that free trade was still there in August 2007.
I still say No rares, and all people start off new.
