Old Runescape... Man I remember those good times on RS cutting yews for gp and fishing + cooking lobs in karamja. I'm totally excited for this not saying i don't like the current game, I just thing this is a great addition to live out those old times and how we're all going to start from scratch it's going to be quite hectic people training slayer for the whip all the old quests that have been done for ages overpowered ancient magic at castle wars I remember always wanting ancients because of castle wars back in the day. Thank you MMG for this opportunity.

Another question I would like to ask is.

Will there be Player Moderators in the 2007 server? If so,

-Will they be newly picked?

-Will you use the current ones you have now?

-If someone was a player moderator during that time but aren't now will they regain that status?

-How many player moderators would be needed for the 2007 server?


My guess is that Jagex will use the current player moderator community they have now for the 2007 server and as the number of player moderators goes up over times that will carry on over to the 2007 server as well.

Hate too say it but.

1) there was no FOG in 2007, alching and teleporting are probably your best options back then, not sure how efficient MTA was.
2) 60 woodcutting, 70 Fletch, 44 Runecrafting (probably longer then 70 fletch to be honest) pick flax, turn flax into bow string, string bows, then get 55 mage from spending hundreds of thousands on runes.

Also, back then there was no ZMI, Familiars and the Air altar is actually south of Falador (where clan camp is atm). meaning slow training xp, not too mention too craft nats you need too use the abyss which means you'll need glories too be most efficient, won't see them for a while.

Edit: Oh and the old energy system making weight reducing items and energy potions required items.

Thanks so much for giving me a stat to spread; lots of folks have been cynical. Of course, they'll probably just say that most of that is bots or something. I don't really think it's good when lots of players seem almost gleeful about the idea the game is doing bad; just because some people don't like updates; they convince themselves that the game is dying and spread the poison. RuneScape has had more vibrant days, but I think it's best days are ahead. Many call me an optimist, which I am; but I really like having my optimism backed up by good numbers.

The community would be wise, if they like RuneScape to stop belittling the efforts of JaGeX, posting quitting videos, and sending bad vibes by constantly saying, the game is dying, or full of bots, etc. It's called a self fulfilling prophesy. So, it would be far better to be optimistic and sow the seeds of growth and new life.

Constructive criticism is good and the forums should be used for that. Focus on what you can do to make this game fun for those around you and yourself. Focus on what you enjoy doing. If something doesn't sit right, post about it, get a mods attention, get some feedback. I soloed the KQ, old version, first time ever successfully today and had a blast helping a friend on a slayer task and another on a quest. There is something for everyone in RuneScape. And if for any reason you feel something missing; well, the 2007 version can be brought back to provide even more options to enjoy the game. So, like mod MMG said, don't let anyone convince you this has no chance; the figures show quite the opposite. If everyone who wants this is not discouraged and votes yes, it will hit the requisite level, no doubt.

The 500,000 of the 1st Regiment, *retired veterans* of the WHINER Brigade (stationed at the illegal ps that was shut down) and Wreckers Whiners of 50,000 + the rest.

Easily 750k RIght there.

There will be 2-8 MILLION on the 2007 severs at any given time.
