People want to pay to play an outdated version of a game they already play? And start a new account so everything they have at the moment would have been a waste of time? I don't get it! I didn't play in 2007 but I don't see how it could be better when they have spent years updating it!

Please focus on fixing the many many many bugs in the current version of RS, implement some useful updates, and stop assuming we all quit in 2007.

I didn't, none of my friends from that era quit, neither have any because of the EoC.

Those that did quit, did so to "get a life", not because RS changed. Doing this will simply take focus away from the main game, causing more and more player frustration.

Thanks for dissuading the rumours though.

Looks like the whiners got their way again. Honestly, good for you guys. I hope it hits 50K votes, but doesn't go to the second level. :) Let's see how many of you are willing to pay $15.
