True, they should make voting for those also who have canceled subscription.
(meaning, players who have been p2prs for at least 1 month)

EDIT:

I dont really want to waste 10€ for voting and wait for 1-2 months and p2p time running for nothing.

This will be good only if BOTS are not there. Since everyone starts new at level 1 there will be a big market for gold and BOTing. Lot's of macros already exist for cheaters to use in the old system.

I'll vote yes to see how it goes because I liked the old game better than EOC, but if there are lots of BOTs I'll stop playing/paying.

yes i would join back forever if old runescape and its oldschool combat features would comeback,also when jagex made world 1 members alot of people werent to happy,we kinda want the non-member world 1 back.

I think this is the best update I've ever seen. Been playing since 04 or 05 and I'm so glad you're bringing back old school rs.

As for the rare option, I believe everyone who voted in the poll should be rewarded with a Christmas Cracker. Just my opinion, it will be limited, but not as limited.
Or make monsters drop some old rares for the first week or two of release. Or re release them in order in Holiday events, up through the 2007 Easter event. Just my opinions.

I just want to say that I never thought I'd see the day where Jagex actually considers re-implementing old style RuneScape. I am beyond excited and personally can not wait to see this go through.

Just me getting my two cents in:

It appears people are concerned about the 'rares' distribution throughout the game. Honestly, aside from restoring a snapshot of all of the accounts and their items at the time of, the only viable solution I see is to randomly distribute them as you did initially in RSC. However, this will certainly need some further thought put into it.

In regards to 'transferring existing accounts over', absolutely not. Either restore a snapshot of all the accounts made at the time of, or let everybody start from zero.
Given the current state of the game (GP/exp-wise), having such elements released into a 2007 version of RuneScape is quite frankly defeating the purpose of re-instating the 'old-style' gameplay.


I look forward to re-living some fond memories from my earlier years, and I certainly believe this will make many lost 'veterans' return to see the game they once loved in all its glory.

A member's only vote ... is stupid.
Many - possibly a majority - of players who want 2007 runescape back have deactivated their members accounts, like me and the ten or so people who I used to play with. I paid for continuous runescape membership basically (off and on for a month here or there) from 2006-2012 - I think I deserve a vote!

Do you guys even have 750,000 active member accounts right now ?
