Jagex, you guys messed up. EoC did NOT point Runescape into the right direction.

However, you've got to let it go. Acknowledge it is a mistake and move on. Create new, fun updates that makes me want to spend my $8 a month for you.

Going back in time isn't going to work. Your logic is flawed - it's not going to bring back old players. Runescape was tons of fun six years ago; it was undoubtedly the best era of RS. But it's old, it's outdated. Nostalgia is a strong force

and

you

can't

let

it

suck

you

in.

Please Jagex, the amount of resources wasted with this will be astronomical. Use them to better the real game, not a dusted-off memory.

I like the effort but I have a few problems with the fact its from 2007
I have been playing since before then and I can safely say change isn't always bad...

Updates since 2007 that I like
I do like dragon claws
I love my rapier - and dung
I like my abysal vine whip
love god wars and nex, corp heck all the bosses
I like full screen too...
summoning, all the quests
The GE is the best update to ever happen to runescape, keep that too


The only things I dislike about current rs is the updated graphics for armour
the EOC
Squeal of Fortune
and solomans

2007 is too old, more recent please
I will not be getting membership if its straight from 2007 with no god wars etc ( all the things I mentioned)

Lol at jAgex... They saw the massive success privet 2007 scape servers have... So they decided to get in on that.. Idk might be a little to late.. Seeing how ppl already sprouted roots in private servers.. A friend of mine already made 4bill pking in SP... Dono how inclined he's Gana be to leave that and come back to the original.. :( idk.. Hope it's not too late...

1. How would this have anything to do with Jagex releasing an older version of the game, which won't have any direct effects on the current game? The EoC didn't cause as many people to quit as you might think.

2. This isn't a change, this is an addition. Nothing is changing - an older version is being added to the game and will be SEPARATE from the current game.

3. If people want to pay for the older version, they can. If you don't, then don't. If the additional fees apply, they will only apply to the older version of the game.

4. Jagex is not taking anything away from the current game - no staff or updates. As you said earlier, they are hiring more staff, not moving staff.

5. Again, if people want to pay they can pay. But those who do not want to pay don't have to pay.

6. The horse never died, it was killed. They aren't trying to bring anything back to life, rather make it available to people who want it (as a lot of people have shown interest in this subject).

Now that I have proven all your points wrong, I'm going to make some tea.

I dont think you should allow rares. This would encourage people to bot/gamble/lure

There are plenty of goals to shoot for, such as the rare chainbody or full guthans.
Mint cake, ranger boots, robin hat.. and many more clue rewards will be 'rare' items.
Dragon full helm was worth 40m back in august 2007.

Discontinued items won't improve the gameplay.
