And now there are these people that are making these assumptions that people will stop playing the game after sometime so it is not viable. All I have to say, is WHO ARE YOU? This is NON OF YOUR BUSINESS. Jagex has been running for YEARS and they are PROFESSIONALS, they KNOW what they are doing and they HAVE EXPENSES IN MIND. THAT IS THE REASON FOR THEIR FEES. Jagex KNOWS what they are doing. If ANYTHING, Jagex will GAIN money in this project. I don't understand you. Are you scared for their wealth? We want 2007 servers and we don't care how many people are playing in 2 years. You can publish a study on how many players will be playing in 2 years. A hypothesis is meaningless unless proven! If we get a content team then the 2007 game will grow. Here is my hypothesis, it is as meaningless as yours. Stop comparing RSC to RuneScape 2007. This is hilarious, absolutely hilarious. Even if RuneScape 2007 does lose players after time which in my opinion wont happen, Jagex will only GAIN from doing this so please to all the financial analysts,

You can go to the CAREER OPPORTUNITIES section on Jagex's website and apply for a job and go tell them your ideas there. Jagex is a BUSINESS, they have this covered. This is irrelevant to this thread.

500k votes will most likely get god wars to be updated into the game depending on which updates they want to add first 750k will get it quicker. Hi stranger ;)

That's how Jagex runs now. Back then, they still had to make money to pay for things; but they genuinely cared and an investment group *id*'t have majority control. There was even a time when there was no membership at all - the game was free for all and just ran by fellow gamers who wanted to keep everyone happy. I'd be suprised if any of those people are still working on the game now.

As for change for the sake of change, that is what we get now. Technological advancements offer something new, worthwhile, an improvement. What drove me away from the game I once enjoyed (aside from money and ignoring the playerbase) was that updates just started to change things needlessly, add something nearly useless or didn't contribute to the game as a whole. There was a time when everything felt interlinked, nothing was dead content and people did things for fun, not for the insane xp rewards lumped on everything.

Oh well, I'm starting to sound like an old man talking about the good old days or some time back when he was in the navy and dinosaurs walked the earth.

I am a member on my main and I know nearly 1/4 of the members community would say no simply because f2p isn't invited or doesn't get updates anymore besides holidays and that said holidays don't count toward being a update for f2p since they are for everyone?


Jagex, when are the updates for f2p going to come because if there aren't anymore f2p updays when this membership card i'm on runs out on march 14th i'm not renewing until f2p gets some updates. i'm sure f2pers deserve some updates after sitting months to years of skilling etc trying to get some 99s.

In the time it took me to get 99 woodcutting, firemaking, fishin*, cooking, and smithing all in f2p it took my friend just a few months of members when I went through my years of middle school and high school playing this game.

So when are the f2p updates coming back besides holidays?

if you think I will renew unless i see some specific things for f2p happening dream on.


edit: and i'm not voting if would cost my friends extra for their membership cards, if it will cause them to pay for something we will never use. Just look how much attention RS classics gets these days.

Btw, i'm 21 and my 3rd year of college, just to tell you how much I have stayed playing this game.
