As a player who started in 2004 and quit after the new management made everything about cash grabs and change for the sake of change... I can honestly say that I don't want this to come back.

Even though I don't take notice of what happens to this poor game anymore, word about this has reached across the gaming community. I just wish everyone would see it for what it is - another cash grab by the new Jagex. Get the old players back and paying, no work apart from basic maintainance - profit. How could any 'oldschool' player even think of trusting what's become of Jagex to keep things as they were?

I grew up with RuneScape through secondary school and spent a lot of time having fun, making friends and working towards my goals without grinding. Even if the game did come back; those situations and people would not... and working towards something for the first time is fun, but repeating it is just a grind.

I just wish RuneScape could rest in peace... every time I end up coming back here to have a look at things, those rose-tinted memories of days gone by just feel like they're being desecrated.

NB: The reasoning for the exact date of the game being restored is fair enough, but will sadly include Pest Control... which was really the beginning of the end (quick xp for no real effort).

Yes bring back 2007 scape i quited rs like 1 month ago because eoc is so boring to me... if this vote passes and runescape 07 version comes back i am back to playing rs again and yes my vote is yes bring it back!

Just pick a random item and a few yrs later dc it. That will keep ppl from hording holiday items. The problem with sof rares ppl know they are going to be dcd dont inform anyone just dc the item then let them know. Thats how you can make a true rare. If you inform they will only horde it. No one was informed about the non-sof rares. The same can be done for 2007 scape.

Oh yeah dont make obvious rares like phats santas mask and ect. Pick a random item.

THINK ABOUT IT GUYS! I know most you have friends, but someone like me (forever alone) needs this update, I made friends back through leveling and skilling and questing and PK. But now, as I have all high skills, there is no one who wants to be friend with me.

I LOOOOOVE watching everyone cry that its not what year they wanted or it will be like RSC.

RSC is NOTHING like rs2 and whatever it is now can be RS3 because E.O.C. is not runescape.

I am just going to laugh at when 2007 becomes more popular then E.O.C. get takes over the game. because it is a better game get this new graphic E.O.C. trash out of here and bring the real game back. 2007 is WIN nothing but WIN i thank you jagex

I like the thought. I'm going to say this, but I'm sayng the truth.

It will empty in months due to many facts:

People spent time on Main RS to gain too many things
Lack of players, main will have majority
Lack of updates. Everyone says they dislike it but they are important
Boredom, 2007 RS was so basic it's not even funny.
It's 3x as pricey, not expensive, but still more expensive.

I personally liked 2008-2009; then again, you don't care about my personal opinion. Show me you do by quoting this Jmod*.

I loved this game, and I still do. I trust you in updates Jagex. Always have. You'll gain more players, I believe, or I hope. I believe you know why it will fail as I do. Focus on the main game, I'm not quitting*
