Can anyone from the runescape community read? 2007 is hard but it's much better, -2008-2009 onwards was the worst.
The community kills this game with this update the old community will come back gradually and jagex game will blow up again. :)

It's a possibility, I read somewhere that apparently they did say they would be holding votes for some updates that came after the backup and something like adding a resizeable window or full screen option wouldn't really change the game at all. It would look the same and give people the option of having the default tiny game screen or one that would fit their window or monitor screen. I spent many years playing on that tiny default screen but looking back now it seems really daunting to play on such a small screen with no options to make it larger.

If these servers do happen and people are up for it, it'll actually be really interesting to see how things work out with everyone starting from scratch. Provided the servers are free I'll probably play a little for the challenge of starting a fresh account with time consuming training methods and very little freebies, but will by no means abandon the main game.

As for rares, I don't think any should be introduced. When tradeable rares were first introduced to the main game they weren't "rares" in that sense of the word, as the concept of discontinued items was new and no one thought they'd rise to value they have today. Todays community is more than well aware of the possibilities of tradeable discontinuables and introducing new ones simply leads to mass hoarding and the prices immediately shooting up. Untradeable rares are fine, though.
