Hey. i'am a player from 05-08.

I Heard about this update and though it was some rumor or a huge troll.

pretty awsome to se the front page!

But i lost the intress Pretty fast after i did read the part " everyone starts fresh" that will say, everyone starts as level 3.

I havent been Active player since 2008.

I have 2 maxed accounts with all important quest done and all 99 melee stats and 70 prayer ( peity ).
i really dont know how much time i have spent on these accounts, probly 1 ½ year each to make them ready to pking. ( i love main pking )

and that was in 2005-2008. when i had alot of time to train.

iam 21 yr old today, i cant spend the 5-6 hours each day anymore.

it would take me over 3-6 years to even get me going on the new servers, and thats why i've not added membership to vote. cus i dont have such time anymore sadly.
can only spend 1-2h each day probly now Days.........

if jagex can make it possible to transfer the stats you've now, i wil gladly add members and vote. I would pay 50$ to get my stats as i have now, or back in 2007.

doesnt really mather cus the stats were the same.

hope someone understands my poor English.

Jagex you gotta realize that you'll earn more money and all of us veterans will be happy if you just keep our stats and banks.."


@ Raamiiro If you keep your stats then there's no point in making a new server. It discourages new players from joining the new 2007 server because there's people with all maxed skills and such. Plus the new RS economy would be just like the old RS economy which would be ridiculous considering this is 2007 game.

To help answer two questions being posted;

1)
Q) Will there be Godwar's?

A) No, though this is a backup of August 2007, its only up-to the 10th. Godwar's was added to the game on the 28th of August 2007.


2)
Q) Will there be a Grand Exchange?

A) No, the Grand Exchange will not be in the 2007-Server as it was added to the game on the 26th November 2007.


Hope this clears up some of the questions that are being asked on this topic. ;)

Sabbat, they didn't LET us play the Beta.

I have been a member since like August 2005 and only missed 2 months of membership during that time. One of the happen to be the year before the beta so I was kept out by Jagex.

And only opening it up on weekends, finally? What was that? They went out of their way to constrict our ability to participate and many of us just couldn't be *othered after they treated veterans so shabbily. I have things I enjoy doing and have done them for years, and people count on me being there, so if you want me to beta-test, you best make it available during the week.

I traveled all the way to London for Runefest and spent thousands of dollars doing so and received the same shabby treatment there as they treat us in game. Honestly? Jagex has their few favorites they love and listen to and don't seem very open to anyone elses ideas anyway. That is why people get attitudes and don't participate.

By the way, I remember you from Triumvirate. Hi!

But don't put this on the players, we have endured so many years of them bending over for a select few and ignoring basic principles and the vast majority of players. Why would players want to step up and work that hard when everything they have said for so many years was ignored, and Jagex put so much effort into putting up so many roadblocks to our participation?

Yes, there are a small handful of loud-mouth brats who spout off, but behind them there is the other 98% of the players who aren't like that. I wish you, and others, would make a decision based on principle and not on personal opinions of other people. What is best for the game should be the deciding factor.

I would really like old school servers back, but... In my opinion, since only members are available to vote, they are making cash from vote. And then, it is impossible to make it happen.

1membership 7$ for example. - 50.00*7=350k$ if people really buy members and vote.

Imagine it further with 750k peoples... I would buy member and vote but thats sad free players cant vote. Because thous, who quitted don't have membership... Who really want old days, they just cant vote.

Only 1/4 part of peoples who want to play will vote, since other 3/4 cant vote.

GJ Jagex, making another money collecting. You saw how many wanted that wildy back, now you want all thous pay for this. kk, we will.

in 2 years complete every thing?????? are you serious?

if you take out all the ways jaqex has brought into the game with easy xp... it would take you years and years to play to get every thing completed...

look at somnoi... he is just about ready to max out the 220 mil part and he still has quests to do... and he has been playing for over 12 years... using every glitch and bug to do it... and he still has not completed every thing...

2 years... oh wait.. there is a way.. botting... interesting you mentioned 2 years..
