"Runescape 2006 Servers" are not going to happen!
I know people have problems adapting to change but I don't think you realise how different the game was back then to how you remember it. Most of you were probably new to the game, hence it was a lot better. Although the game has changed, you've changed with it and so has the community.
If Jagex opened a 2006 style server, the game would also have gamblers, botters, glitches, inflation and a load of the other problem todays game has.
But as somebody who has played since early 2006, I know that runescape is a much better game now than it ever has been. I've never played any other pc game and as much as I loved spinning bow strings and picking flax (which I did), I would now prefer to save a lot of my time by training skills faster, using a more enjoyable method.
The eoc has added a lot to runescape, it requires skill and tactics. As somebody who will be getting 99 slayer this week (was 90+ before eoc) I can tell you that slayer is a lot more enjoyable and interactive. I don't always use abilities but it is fun when I do so, otherwise I just relax and train all of my combat skills.
Sure botting and gambling is a HUGE problem but if you dont let it, it won't effect you. If somebody is spamming flower game at the GE just add them to your ignore list, if people are botting report them and move on. The only way they effect you is if you let them...
In summery, Runescape is a much better game now than it ever has been, and although people hate micro-transactions (I've never bought any), they are the reason the game is getting better. All those people saying Jagex are just after more money, the fact they are not releasing dividends proves this is wrong and the fact that they are keeping it all as retained profit shows hope for the future and that Jagex really do want to make this game as good as possible*

Wicked, Glad to see you gold people getting out and about.
I do have one query because its something I keep thinking about...
I'm 99 mage with the staff of light full gano etc.. Yet I have never managed to hit a 5k...
I'm 99 attack with 83 strength and with a pot I seem to hit miles miles miles more 5ks with a godsword.
Just seems mage is slightly weaker compared to other combat styles.
I do have one query because its something I keep thinking about...
