I'm sorry but i will not be renewing my membership i bought it so i could vote and get 07 runescape expecting not to pay again just the one off.

I don't dislike oldschool i love it but making people pay to play is ridiculous. I don't care about any membership benefits i just want to play oldschool runescape. The votes would be much much higher if you opened the poll to f2p members. And the community will be even better if you open the servers to f2p members much easier to sell items as more noobs are in the game much easier to pk etc..

After the 31st March i will unfortunately not be playing oldschool unless it becomes free. As i said i really don't care about members benefits items parts of the world. Does not affect me one bit.

Mcdoodlz did you not read at all? it says it is free for the next 6 months...then they will re-evaluate the servers to decide whether they will keep free or charge 5 bucks.



EDIT: And why is so many people whining that Jagex decided to give us free membership for 6 months out of kindness? you people aren't happy even if they gave you 2b gp in game...smfh. :@

Well as someone who voted for 2007 servers, mostly intending to play 2013 where all my stats are - but to occasionally play 2007 for the nostalgia value this is pretty close to the ideal result.

I don't have to pay an additional membership fee for my occasional visits. (at least not for now)
I think anti-bot tech is needed too - 2007 was the most botted era of Runescape ever, so the game would likely die without anti-bot tech.

I don't particularly want to see 2007 overly updated as that could remove the nostalgia value I voted for in the first place. So don't need a big dev team from my point of view.
If I want new stuff to do, I have 2013 servers for that.

Man, It just seems like no matter what Jagex tries, people are still f-ing complaining. If Jagex decided not to give us 500k perks, then ppl would still complain about not being given the extra 60k votes. And eoc players complain about the 5 dollar extra being forked over, even though they can choose whether or not to pay it, etc... You people are ungrateful as *luck. Jagex gives you what you want and you still complain? Even people who aren't even affected are still complaining. If Jagex started handing out free **'s to the public, people would still complain about the watering down of our ** economy. I'm sorry Jagex has to go through this. I despise some things they do with the Eoc-scape, but now that what I want is coming to fruition, I can see why they were scratching their heads going "Wtf?" You people are insatiable... It's embarrassing.

In that case, surely you have even less reason to complain? If you're sick of the EoC I really do recommend playing on the Old School servers, of course it's very different but I find it ultimately more rewarding. Although, maybe pay for it yourself this time, I'm sure your mother wouldn't be pleased to know £3.20 is going to waste every month :P
