You are very confused.

You are not paying anything for the 2007 servers,

It is the other way.
2007 players are paying for the EoC servers and because of that, you have more choice in servers for your EoC membership.

I'm glad that me as gold member, who support your eoc servers, now have more choise also.

Although i rather had servers just before the EC came out. :)

^^ this. I wouldn't hesitate to start playing again if microtransactions were removed. Raise the subscription cost to $20 like other mmos, but don't ruin the validity of the game with micro transactions.

And also some people might instead have a membership on their main and pure aswell, instead of just one account :D

Firstly, I'd like to congratulate you on a job well done, so happy to have '07 RuneScape back. My only qualm is the additional membership fee, and potential ulterior motives for delaying it by 6 months. Charging an additional fee for a 6 year old product is, in my opinion, ridiculous, especially as we are all well aware that it is simply a restored backup. Also, giving players 6 months to build their accounts up to the point where they do not want to quit, before slapping an additional charge on them is unfair and underhanded. The two games should be mutually exclusive and membership should be equal in price for each. Without reassurance that In 6 months of enjoyable gaming I won't end up being charged silly amounts to play a game that 6 years ago was ~£3.50 I may not continue playing either game. On the other hand, if the additional fee could be justified and the two games could be payed for separately, I may continue.

With the nastiness over, I'd like to show my support for some other people's suggestions, such as F2P PKing servers, GWD and maybe make the game screen resizeable (not personally bothered by the latter, but several friends have found that the change in screen size when transitioning between the two games is very noticeable and detrimental to the experience). Some other bugs like pathfinding are a little annoying but nothing major.

(Edit: with regards to F2P Pking Servers, I mean themed, as in restrict members items etc, but still part of the P2P '07 game.)

Good. Get them hooked on it then start charging them $20 extra a month. So we can put the money into the main servers. Haha. On a serious note, I think this is a good decision on Jagex's part. Let the servers run for a while, see how they are going to do, and go from there. The whole voting thing just isn't going to give u an accurate amount of players. Anyways, Good luck to all you 07 Players, I may stop in from time to time, But i've already been there and I personally like where the main game is heading.

You do know technically reviving a 6 year old product is roughly as ridiculous, specially if it is to be given for free (regarding the requests for f2p servers).

Y'all 07ers might wanna get used to the idea of selling cheaper than in 2007 due to lack of demand from free players with less access to gathering zones (be honest, that's what asking for f2p servers comes down to hehehe).

Enjoy that Jagex actually opened them to begin with, would like to see another gaming company do THAT.

wow... I find it amazing with the amount of people that play the EoC version and won't be playing 07 that keep going on about Subsidizing for us 07'ers. Well i hate to break it to you but this is not affecting how much to pay at all, if you want we can claim "thanks, us 07'ers will be subsidizing for you EoC'ers". but honestly, you are not subsidizing anything, you are paying the exact same that you were before regardless if the vote was going to pass or not so stop trying to make this false claim that you have to give up so much just for us. Look at it this way, We pay for 07, you pay for 1013. We get access to 2013 because we pay for 07 and you vice versa so quit your crap.

There are a few things I'd wish you'd reevaluate.

1) F2P servers -- just make a few for a while and see how it works. What could it hurt?

2) Membership buying both OSR and EoC -- we should be allowed to choose which we pay for if we so desire. This, of course, is only applicable if the fee is introduced.

^^ If you play the main game, and only the main game, you are not paying for 07scape at all. Even if we only got 60k votes, you'd only be paying for the main game. If you want access for 07scape, you pay extra. Separate charge, separate game. Jesus...
