Hey I've noticed a new generation of bots. On mining, they all have 60 thieving, around 20 fishing and 80+ mining. they are most often 16 combat, and I find them on all worlds in the mining guild. I have reported them, and I hope you look into that. OSRS is so new and the economy is great at the moment, so i hope this will continue.

so yeh, questioning the botting....its not stoping or slowing down, the bots simply moved to runescape 07 are running rampid AND thats why there are less botters in eoc...simple as that, but thanks jagex for trying. runescape is a popular game and botters will find a way to bot rs 07 and eoc. they will remain selling accounts and gold. it really upsets me to see this coming from someone who has enjoyed this game since it was introduced :'(

Can I bring up something I don't think anyone has looked at concerning botting, which I absolutely hate btw, and have seen frequently while reporting bots. And that is the method that they use to run their bots, and one of the groups primarily responsible for using them. And that is the new RS mobile app, and it being used by school students to run bots while they are in class, and running over anyone legitimately trying to work on their characters. Jagex was really big on this idea, but I really wonder if they foresaw, or cared, how it was going to end up being used. When I go kill grots and stay in one corner working on 3 or 4 spots so others can come in as well, I have for weeks now, had a few characters I've reported, running from one end of the cave to the other, hitting all 120th lvl grots once, in order to be awarded their drops, but every time i have tried to get them talking, I have gotten no answer. Except once, where I was practically cussed out and called a little kid, and a baby. Typical behavior and attitude of Secondary/High School students. (Granted, they r not the only ones, but they are a large part). But after that they respond to nothing, even after being warned that I am going to report them. Now is this an isolated problem, the using of Jagex mobile app to control bots/scripts while school students are actually in class? Which btw I have heard characters actually talking about out loud in the GE as well, so I know it's happening. I am a member for a long time, over 8 years off and on, as I can afford the extra expense. And I work my ass off (pardon my language) to get my character as high in all skills as I can, but I do it myself, thats why after 8 years, I only have 3 skills in the 80's but all the rest are over 60. I guess I would really like to know who is it that Jagex wants to be loyal to and stand by? Those who use supposed game advances as new more effective ways to bot, or those who've always been loyal to the spirit of the game?

Tired of Bots in OSR?, Post your suggestion here!

Personally in OSR i hate skilling, mining pure essence and chopping logs for hours upon and i know everyone else does as well, so the question is why not bot?

The simple answer is... It's a game! Not a Botting Service!, Runescape is a MMORPG!, I have not read anywhere either searching "Runescape" on google or looking on this website were jagex claims that Runescape is a botting service!

Now the problem is if it's not a botting service why are there bots? Well there is one simple answer, just like having children they are not disciplined enough i mean seriously yes we had the bot nuke and yes we can report bots for macroing and such but i mean what else is there? They don't have any obstacles to go around to get into botting except the threat of being banned permanently and even that cant the botter(s) just make a new random account?

Currently as i see it botting at this stage is just like banning gambeling by just adding a new report option as "Report for gambeling" and not adding extra procations as making the flowers only one color, changing the emotes and ect. , so why dont we do that for botting? Some things we could add:

1) Time laps to create a hazard for macroers to get around:
a. Type in your pin every hour?
b. Warning message pop-up about playing for an extended amount of time?
> Answer a random security question?
2) Less-viability on creating a new account.
3) Create / Keep the game pack hidden so external program or clients cant access it and run outside of the old school webpage.

I have no idea guys, im just listing my suggestions on the topic would love to here some of yours.

for all the bot killing you have done, i watched MOD jac on world 24 stand there at GE for literally 16 hrs ( I did take a few brakes and a nap ) and he was still standing there :P can't wait till the next phase!

hey everyone not sure if this is correct place i have been away from game and signed into the game today went to ge and cant get my items from there why???? has the ge closed and how do i get my belongins :|
