There are many people predominantly from Asian countries who are innocently banned for Macroing Goldfarmer (ban).

Some of the accounts later have their bans lifted, but many are still struggling between the appealing and emailing jagex loop.

There are way too many false-positives and too little assistance offered for those unlucky players.

A Botwatch is a script and it is not 100% accurate. More attention needs to be given to false-positives than bots which go through undetected.

More information can be found here.

Wow this is great! I cant beleive that so many bots are getting banned now. I can't wait to have a much better community in Evolution of Combat. This will make the prices for different materials be much better. Thanks a lot jagex! :D

Sorry, but Botwatch is taking much, much too long to get up and running, and I fail to see any valid reason why... other than the longer they take banning them, the more money they make from the bots memberships.

And for those people that bother reporting bots, stop wasting your time. I've been reporting the exact same extremely obvious bots at LRC week after week for Months, sometimes more than once per day (and there are a LOT of them).
Guess what? They're ALL still there, many with over 50m fishing XP (I've taken note of all the names and frequently check their XP gains).

I'm fishing for ranks, I have been for a very long time, but now I have to face the fact that many of these bots will soon catch and pass me (there's one currently ranked 342 with almost 71m fishing XP, less than 10m XP behind me and closing), it's ****ing disgraceful that they have been ignored for so long.

EDIT:
Actually, I just checked again, and at least 2 of the bots have flown right by me and have over 93m fishing XP.

Jagex need to explain how they can be ignored for so long...

Jagex, I believe you have mistakenly banned a ton of innocent legitimate players' accounts, particularly players living in Asian countries. I've already met countless other players who've been expressing complaints on the forums about being banned for "macroing goldfarming", and yet have never done such a thing. The thing in common with all of these player cases is that they all live in Asian countries. Please look into these banned accounts and unban these innocent players. You have playerbases in all countries around the world and it is not right to ban a certain race/population. Please fix this Botwatch update. Thanks.

Good job jagex with banning INNOCENT people.

Precisely this. A ton of Asian players have been banned with this new update, including me. I appreciate Jagex's efforts in trying to make sure the game is free of botters and macroers, but this is simply ridiculous. A player should not be banned purely because he/she lives in China. I sincerely hope they fix this issue soon. A ton of players are now permanently banned and unable to play due to this Botwatch update, which is extremely detrimental to the playerbase as a whole.

@Roo

Agree that this is 2nd time BotWatch going wrong.
There is massive bans to any players, no matter rule-breaking or just login spinning, who logged in in mainland China.

Please take the words into account. Chinese players are the lesser group in RS, but that doesn't mean they deserve to be banned without evidence. New-made accounts are banned once they logged in in mainland China. I don't see how someone can bot or gold-farm without a trade, or training a single level.

There are tons of pathetic Chinese ignoring rules, botting and gold-farming in RS. In their eyes RS is just a tool for money. I feel shame to this, angry and sad also. But we cannot deny, and should not ignore that there are also legit and dedicated players like all of us in China.

Please take a review on the action taken by BotWatch in last few days. We all hope a bot-free RS. BotWatch is a great weapon to achieve this. As a weapon, it can point to bots, meaning it might point to normal players also. We cannot help in the core of gold-farming judging system. Please listen to our feedback on it in return.

Thanks for anyone fully read this.
(and I know most ppl just thinking "TLDR" or "Chinese = bots", please goes to rants forum for that.)

Thank you for posting this. Although the Chinese playerbase may be small and insignificant, we are players nonetheless and deserve to be treated like one. It is not right for Jagex to ban so many Chinese accounts purely because they are Chinese. We are an international community, and Jagex cannot be discriminatory towards a certain group of people, even if China does have a bad reputation for developing botting software. Please take this into account, Jagex.
