It is good to see that Jagex does pick up accounts which have been wrongly banned in China. My account was mysteriously banned for goldfarming and I suspected something discriminatory was going on when I tried to start a new account: it was instantly banned for goldfarming (five offences), whilst still trying to configure the avatar! So, I repeated the process and captured it on video, as proof in case I do not hear back about my appeal. I'm glad that none of my Runescape friends tried to use my wi-fi during that time as I guess they would have been nailed, too.

I still haven't heard back about my appeal and have since lost another innocent account trying to replace the first one. This account has just reached the 350 mark, which is why I am allowed to post on here, but now I daren't play without the use of a VPN to hide my Chinese IP address. And I am loath to spend any money to buy membership again in case I forget the VPN one day. Will China always be a target or can we hope to be accepted back under Jagex's wing one day?

why dont we just legalize botting? it is obvious it will never end and it would also bring in more revenue for game content than the squeal of fortune, etc.. Jagex could create their own bots and charge players to use them. Its like legalizing illegal drugs it would end the need for third parties if players could get their macros from jagex personally and therefore the money could be used for improving the game and could really revolutionize runescape. Maybe we should stop being so caught up in "winning the bot war" and rather focus on finding an alternative solution or atleast put it to a vote; many people have abandoned runescape due to being banned but we can bring them back! I really do respect those who have worked so hard on their accounts legitimately but there are others who would rather spend their money than their time. Besides, we have already charged some players for recovering their accounts after botting meaning this idea is not so farfetch. please dont dismiss my arguement I have never botted nor do I intend to but I would love to see many of my banned friends come back.. thank you.

Fastfury01, your ideas on botting are ridiculous: why buy a ticket to a football match and then send someone else in your place.
Botting will kill the game; as the real world players would give up competing against against bots that play 24 hours a day.
Then there would be no-one left to buy botted gold.

I noticed there were no flax bots the other day in seers village. It may have already started for 07.

It's not working that well. Everywhere I still see bots at good mining spots.

This was a small step for Jagex a Giant one for Runescape.
Step by step the world of Gielinor, Runescape is becoming free of the bot scum (not trying to be discriminatory (oh wait, Yes I am (against bots))).
