Re Mod Phoenix - working late there huh? Thanks for your replies btw. If I might try to clear this up here, from what Phoenix says - Jagex is not approaching the bot issue with an iron fist. Theyre giving 3 strikes before a total ban to give a chance for rehabilitation of offenders in a way. Its nice to see the human side of Jagex for a change and thank god Jagex are forgiving (eg swearing on the forums or most of us would be gone!) But see Phoenix - the other side of the argument is that you dont seem to be too serious about dealing with the botters despite what u say. Read the postings and youll see that bots really arent hard to find anywhere in rs these days and we're not seeing diddly squat from you guys!
The day after Nuke Day there were no bots at all anywhere and they didnt come bak for a few weeks so we know you have the software to completely get rid of them instantly. Give them 3 chances if you like by all means, but get the process started. Fine them all you like but dont allow bots to work for days and weeks on end in the same places in their thousands with no policing. Thats not tollerance - its neglect! We dont want empty promisses - we want action! So whats the problem? Just do it - Nuke them and after 3 bans then delete their arse

I do not think they should get rid of all the bots i think they should just reset every player to make it fair an if u see someone playing for days strait u should go talk to them wile in game before just banning because there are a lot of innocent accounts getting banned

This battle is likened to fighting viruses in an operating system. there will always be those that will test the security of a system and Jagex is doing a great job in my opinion of trying to defend it. In my opinion there are very few innocent accounts getting banned. The way these accounts operated (stealth mode) asked to be banned. If you aren't a bot converse with the world occassionally to let people know. If you are spending 48 hours straight skilling without a conversation in the background you are a bot not innocent. in my opinion people need to be limited to no more than 8 hours of play in any 24 hour period.

I have enough quests left to do that maybe this might be resolved by the time I finish them all. Maybe. Makes my head hurt, trying to understand why Jagex would get our hopes up with all the "Bot Watch" and "Optimus" talk, just to leave us feeling so disappointed. Quests to do, still not 99 in quite a few skills, so it's not like I'm quitting just yet, but...
I'm still stunned we actually got a response from a Jmod. Thank you very much, Mod Phoenix. I hope that might start a trend.

well time for me to try out a new game... wow its only 2x the price but it have 2x the map size 2x the monsters 2x the items 2x the weapons and i hear its pretty fun so bye rs at least for a wile unless i make my own game then i will never have to waist 30$ down the drain cuz of a mistake you guys did
