Don't get me wrong, but I love stuff about Eoc and then there are things that I hate about it.

The most annoying thing that I hate about is the first hit on monsters gets automatic drop from monster and not to mention kill count. Why in the world is beyond me is the reason why jagex decided to add this into Eoc. A player cant even perform their slayer task or a daily challenge without a bot or player getting in the way and get the first kill count.

Whatever happened to the person hitting the most damage gets the drop? Clearly a player would get the drop first than a bot if it was based on most damage.

But I guess they want to let their precious bots get the drop first so they satisfy the bots more than the players.

Not to mention for the fact a lot more creatures became multi-combat.

I think a solution for slayer tasks/daily slayer challenge/combat challenge is to design a dungeon or some sort of area that has most slayer monsters to where the player can have it to themselves. Kind of like queen black dragon or player owned ports if you get my point.

It can be an option if you wanted to be by yourself or go into the normal dungeons or area and talk with players.

This is some good news and it is about time the bots were got rid off but now i am left wondering is there going to be a witch hunt ? only the other night i was happily killing grotworms and the only time players seemed to interact with each other was when they were accusing each other of being a bot and if i am honest most of the accusations came from low lvl players who were accusing high lvl players. May be it might be a good idea if players who falsely accuse others of being a bot are banned too. As it has now got to the point where i am worried about visiting such areas like the grotworms for fear of being accused of being a bot by some other player who is upset that they are not getting enough drops.

miss-whip, so long as your not using any botting tool/program what-so-ever then you have nothing to fear, being accused is mere words and words dont prove your botting, Jagex when they decide to will prove whether or not someone is botting, so dont pay any attention to numpties who have nothing better to do than go round acussing this player or that of being a bot.

Gav: "say i'm going to do my farm run, and go to the fruit tree near gnome stronghold, and see someone botting agility for agile. how does this effect the runescape community?"

---

How does any kind of cheating not effect the gameplay for all?

Even a skill like agility without that many ingame advantages at high levels is a good example for this.

Back in the days a player maxed out in agility was quite rare, similar to prayer and runecrafting it was quite hard to get there. Now everyone and his mom runs around with it.

I have no idea how many agility 99's of actual players are botted, but alone the knowledge that some accounts where botted up puts every single player with 99 agility under the general suspicion of having botted it - which doesn't really add to a positive atmosphere within the community.

Successfull botting makes those against it frustrated, since they can't compete, and probably those who don't care much about it willing to try it out: more sheep to feed the bot scripters. Nothing I'd call having no effect on the runescape community.

All in all it doesn't matter what exactly bot scripts are used for, weather its training agility, alching, running a gold farm - they need to be taken out of the game as fast and as consequent as possible.

Hope this answers your question.

Best regards,
Mace

So, if I were to visit the high level Grotworms, mithril/brutal/frost dragons, and several other well known areas, from any server, I would NOT find a horde of bots????

I'm so weary of trying to get my kills in when a BOT can 'first tag' any beast and get the kill.

Whether Im in a slayer task or trying to make some pocket money for skilling, it just no fun.

I report and report and report until Im tired of spending xp time doing that and don't even see the underground council being active anymore. So, the bots don't go away, the underground council is empty, the bots rage and rule.

I will be most pleasantly surprised if I test out the ancient cavern and grotworms from several servers to find them empty.

well, I done some digging around, seems Jagex banned a lot of dungeoneering botters. My only question(S) about this is.

Why not ban the autotalkers and Gamblers?
Why not ban the gold selling accounts that span you from the hi-scores?
Why not ban the Hardwood botters?
Why not ban the Dragon Camping Botters?
Why not ban the Mining botters in LRC?
Why not ban the Bots that actually hurt the economy?

The dungeoneering bots dont really directly affect the economy as much as the other bots. And for the record people, from my digging around (Internet searches for bot sites and their forums which anyone can join and view lol) their was quite a few banned but only for 2 weeks and a dungeoneering level rollback.

Please go after the bots that actually hurt the economy, but thanks for banning the dungeoneering bots as well.
