in defense of Jagex...
I graduated from Illinois state with a computer science degree before most of the rs players moms were born. the only "mainframe" computer in existence was "brainiac" (google it)
I know for a fact that no matter how sophisticated your code is, no matter how fool proof your program is, there will always be a hacker or code buster or "bot designer" that finds a way around it. and as soon as you board up one hole...they dig another.
I absolutely hate botters, cheaters and exploiters!!! but, and I hate to say it, they are always going to be there at some level. Jagex is doing all it can to hold em to a minimum. but, even banning doesn't kill em...new name, new account, new bot and they are right back.
yes, I am an old man, but I love this game. I have been an avid player and supporter since 2008.

So these trimmed comp capers for player owned ports, will they get banned? Some big names who abused that one!

Will be severely disappointed and angry if they don't.

Secondly you graduating back in like the 50's or earlier doesn't really hold any value today?

And lastly lol.. "jagex are doing all they can..." ahhh give me strength that's such a false statement and such junk it almost hurts.

Which bots? I don't see any change to any of the areas they've been swarming around.

You should concentrate your efforts on banning anyone who has abused bugs within POP. It's an easy enough task considering it is impossible to have reached a certain stage at this point in time yet some people have completed it already.

Jagex wrote the code, and should know how to fix it. They're not trying.

Jagex is doing a great job, but the bots in the grotworm lair are a real pest, they should all be banned, i reported as much as i could, but everyone should go there and report them so there will be at least some less.

what they should do is what has been suggested many many times ........ until they get the bots under control, let the p-mods (or even just the senior p-mods that have been around for years) help with bot control ....*

**-add the black hole as a temp place for bots let the p-mods temp send accounts there limit the number they can send and the amount of time they can be there, but have it set of a flag on the account for the j-mods saying "hey we KNOW this is a BOT"

this and other options have been suggested MANY times ..... but jagex refuses to trust the community, they let the actions of the few (p-mods that have muted varrock etc) cast a shadow on the good p-mods that really want to help rid the game they love of the botters that ruin it for everyone ......

yes I used to be a p-mod ....... but I am no longer so this would have no effect on me aside from hopefully curbing the swarms of bots and saving a game I have played and loved since august '04

Jagex you made me laugh... B4 bot banning around this time there was around 85k players online.. now its 82k for real just banning 3k or around bots is huge?

There loads of them @ taverley blue dragons and other profitable places..

Just send you jagex mods to every world and look at most botted spots.. you will be suprised about dat what u see..
