for whatever reason i received no response so i will repost this.

@Mod Phoenix i have an account that was banned for macroing a few days ago when there was no macroing happening. will jagex employess be actually looking into things like this or branding it collateral damage and moving on with their days?

edit:all i want is for a real person to look into it my ban instead of a newly released program deciding my accounts fate

I must admit that I allowed myself to be drawn out by what is now an obvious troll. How embarrassing. We all hope the war on bots is in fact ongoing. Some doubt Jagex's commitment, some doubt Jagex's ability, some doubt both. As for me....maybe time to do some of those long quests I've been putting off.

just checking your view but some bots are better than others and less wrong? or did i misunderstand your analogy?

I was lead to believe all bots were wrong and ruin the game for other players?

Honestly would like an answer please.

i have a simple question for you phoenix as i know you jmods do a lot of work but can i ask why i trainined dungeoneering to get a chaotic rapier and access to frost dragons when the moment i go there on every world there are 20+ bots all i wanna know is how the jmods can say they are banning this person and that person when the frost dragon bots are clearly a major issue to those of us who slaved away even tho we hated dungeoneering to get the level required please reply to me even if its in my message centre as this issue concerns me and its directly killing the economy

Mod Phoenix, are you going against the "Party Line" in even addressing the bot issue directly with us? I ask because I've never once seen a Jmod break ranks like this and discuss the botting issue so directly with normal players. Jagex's official stance has seemed to be one of silence since late September 2012, shortly after we were promised a significant reduction in bot numbers. I hope Jagex doesn't have their version of a "Political Officer" ready to drop the axe on Mod Phoenix. It has been a breath of fresh air to actually hear from a Jmod on the issue, at last.
