lol a bit late with this topic, and a full set of Bandos armour is good to have but at this time you can have a verac set with the same stats and higher prayer for a fraction of the cost. (costing a max of 330,000 every 15 hours of combat).

Lets do some maths
bandos chest piece and tass plus a helm say 23 mill
verac set say 3 mill, saving 20 mill for armour that is better
20 mill / 330k = 60
60 x 15 hours = 900 hours of combat to break even
900 hours / 6 hours a day = 150 days
so there you have it, you will need to do 150 days of non stop combat for 6 hours every day to break even on a set of bandos, minus the bonus effect of the set for those that like to use momentum ability

P.S that is the most it will cost btw those with 99 smithing will reduce repair cost by 50%, meaning a extra 150 days on top

The thing is, I could buy barrows armour and pay like 2k per hour to repair it, or I could get some thrash bandos armour, I prefer the better armour that costs 2k a hour.

Bandos is still a piece of junk, and so is claws and other gwd items. Godswords would only be used by people for 75-80 attack limiting it to a small number of noobs who will get 80 attack in a few days.

Non degradable is a joke, not having to pay 2k an hour is ridiculously insignificant.

Funny how you reworked gwd and made it good then items crashed effectively
un-reworking it and putting all that time to waste.

I hope you will look over this and make godwars pvm/tds/etc worthwhile again.

I also fear what Player owned ports will do to nex armour....

@Killa Kiaba, they are INCREASING THE DEGRADING COSTS OF BARROWS ARMOR, so GWD tier will still be worth it for those who do large amounts of combat. I expect the costs to be about half of nex tier repairs.

Also it's every 10 hours of combat, and the more things that hit you speeds that up. Also don't forget if you die and have other items that need priority for repair you might have to drop a few pieces of barrows, which breaks it.

@Ramboed GODSWORDS WILL KEEP THEIR EFFECT, meaning bgs will have a chance to lower defence on hits, and will be some of the best nondegradable weapons. chaotics are fairly expensive to maintain if you don't have a lot of tokens (usually around lvl 103-105 dungeoneering that happens).

I'm already seeing a lot of stuff go back up in price. Just remember panicing rarely pays off, and opens you up to losing money to merchers.

Edit: caps locked changes people might not know about.

POP armor will likely be very difficult or expensive to get, or have the same stats as nex armor with no degrading or something. It will be no different to price changes in bandos when torva came out, or price changes in barrows when bandos came out.

In general the price of things drops over time. Nex armor already dropped more over the last year than any new armor ever could make it. The game can't just quit getting new high level armor, especially armor for level 90-99 so we can get new and better bosses.

I would also like to see ways to get money that don't involve combat, but I know profit is generally determined by how many people are taking advantage of it. Even flasks which are a high level crafting item which is limited to 50 per day doesn't seem like much over the last few months.

@Gemini Force below me, your last paragraph brings up a point I never thought about. Offensive bonuses are overrated by players.

Then again, people rarely use barrows over rune for the majority of places, so if they e start increasing the costs of degrading then even less people will use it.

I kinda like barrows system as is where it's a good armour, but it eats up 10k a hour so people can afford it, but there's a advantage to using rune in places where you don't need the defence.

I would have liked to have barrows used for the effects and work with chaotics and other weapons, with revamped abilities that'd be useful as long as you wore the helmet, legs, body.

Then instead of having to make the stats equal, they could have bandos as a nondegrading good body, and each of the barrows as special armours with weird effects that couldn't be compared easily.

Also in the live game, bandos gives a 2% damage boost, Which if you earn 1m a hour is worth 20k tops.
Barrows gives no damage boost but 10% more def. But costs 10-20k a hour.
It's pretty much just as time saving in beta as it in the moment.
