I am absolutely not happy with many of the changes this year. I don't like EOC. I hate that I'm forced to "get used to it" or not play. I want the option the play the pre-EOC version of RS. I have found that EOC decreases the importance of the cooking skill, because players need to eat much less in combat now. I have also experienced a much greater importance placed on combat than non-combat skills, where without it, many other avenues of the game are closed to you as a player, member or otherwise. I don't like the new skill level calculator, because it decreases the value of a high range & mage level, and makes the combat level largely melee based, with defense being a mandatory factor in the calculation. I also don't agree that bots have been decreased. I can't find a world where I can complete a grotworm task with mature grots because there is a 20 to 1 ratio of bots on every single world. In fact, I rarely find another real player down there at all anymore. I've personally reported more than a hundred of these myself since botany bay alone, and the numbers are ever increasing. Bosses, many slayer tasks, dwogres and dwarf cannoneers, and many other such in game monsters are overrun with bots, even kurasks and turoths. I'm not in favor of selling in-game advantages via Solomon's General Store or selling additional spins on the Squeal of Fortune. It appears to me that what started out as added advantages for members have simply become additional profit centers for Jagex. I don't play WOW and other such MMORPGs. I played RS BECAUSE it was different, and now, it's not so much. My family have been members for more than 5 years now, and my husband has played since RS Classic, but it's not fun for our family, anymore. We used to play all the time, and now my husband logs in a few times a year at best. I, while playing more regularly, am saddened that we can no longer enjoy the game as a family and am questioning the value of our paid memberships at this point.
