To those claiming that because of the extra Runecoins/Spins/etc that come with the package, old $5 subscribers still "save" money... I don't think that's justifiable. People who pay the current subscription fee get all those bonuses PLUS a reduction in membership costs, and therefore come out better than old members with grandfathered subscriptions.

Cost of Premier for veteran $5 subscribers should offer those same benefits and the price should be reduced accordingly.

Thank you.

It would be cool is Premier club members have a Premier logo next or in front of their name.
Using the emblem that's on the header of the RS Website.

(Not to be confused with moderators ^_^ )

Or something else that could show you're premier member, like a title named "Premier/Premium".

Would be cool. :)

i hope Jagex reads this, since this is at page 80+ :|

Sincerely*

@dysc^

All the Actual loyal vets like me quit a long time ago, outrage by jagex's updates. Thats why i stopped paying membership, and stopped getting "grandfathered in" to the discount.

Im just back for awhile to test the EOC, and although 2006- was better, this is practically a whole new game.

Any way, not every one whos grandfathered in really deserves it like the 10+ year vets who quit (like myself) do. I went ahead and payed for this, but ill laugh if RS fails in less than a year.

I would like to think that we gold members will get alot of future advantages, but jagex is the type of company to take your money and forget about you the next day so i highly doubt we will ever recieve any more than currently promised, IF that.

Hmm. For long-term online paying members this is probably paying more, as they get it cheaper then players who pay through cards, like myself. I personally like this, as its a chance for people like me to get a year for about a 25% discount compared to the normal price. That and as a person who would never go out of his way to buy rune-coins, to actually get a solid amount, 2k! While this may upset some players, players like myself that buy cards and have christmas coming up can actually get cheaper membership than usual. While some don't like it, I think its a good thing. And remember players, jagex is actually being generous for once. Instead of posting about how you should buy spins or rune coins, their giving them to you free with a year of membership.

IM GOD-

Your presumptuous, self-important manner is extremely unbecoming. I sense bitterness over having to pay new membership costs.

Just because someone hasn't quit paying doesn't mean they are not "actually loyal." In my case, it just means a little $5 charge on my card every month is insubstantial enough that I'd rather not be bothered with cancelling and resubscribing. I also enjoy the fact I can log in anytime and enjoy the full game immediately whether I've played in the last 3 months or not.

You really don't need to egotistically preach to me about your supposed 10 year veteranship and your reasons for quitting and your so-called "loyalty". TBH I don't give a damn, and I still want my Premier club pricing to coincide with my grandfathered payments.

Posting again: I like the idea of it, but my birthday is in January 29th, and I have exams this year. Will there be an option to buy it but activate it later on in the year? Because from May onwards all gaming will pretty much stop for me, so I'll lose a huge chunk of what I paid for.

To add onto what Dysc said. As much as overall its still a discount for veterans in a sense, not all of us care about the runecoins and such.

I am mostly interested in the beta access, and the quarterly newsposts. I like to keep up with what is going on in the game. However, in order to be included in these, I am required to pay an extra 3 months worth of membership. Yes I get a whole load of cosmetic stuff, and runecoins, but I really don't care about them. If they were effectivly free, like they are for non veterans, then I would accept them sure, but I don't want to pay more for stuff I don't want (even if its less "more" then usual).

Sometimes I wonder why the average player only stuck around 6 years, deals like this where vets are excluded makes me wonder a bit less.
If we point out each others flaws, then we can fix them.
That way, we can all improve together ^_^

A range of special cosmetic items, such as the Ornate Katana, Green Skin, Turkey Hat, Barbed Bow, Flaming Skull, Scarecrow Mask and Lightning Pack.

Ornate Katana > No Luck getting
Green Skin> had a membership card on already
Turkey Hat> got with promotion ( via membership card )
Barbed Bow > had membership via game card ( promo )
Flaming Skull> got with game card ( promo )
Scarecrow Mask> got with game card ( promo )
Lightning Pack > wasn't going to pay - nope.

So out of this promo I would get 4/7 items 3 of which I paid for already? >> and btw have been a member none stop since 2005 gf
My Goals : 120 all skills first 4/9
