Not sure if anyone noticed so i am gonna point it out if you hover over the gold membership in the page that lets you select a package to purchase in the description it says 1500 runecoins but at the bottom of the page it says 2000 runecoins... so which is it?

I ended up buying game cards specifically to receive the special cosmetic items, such as the Flaming Skull, Scarecrow Mask and Lightning Pack. And NOW you're telling me that I didn’t have to?
That is just incredibly unfair. That's 3 months of credit for nothing special. I could have simply done it online instead of making special trips to stores (which were a fair trot away from me when they first came out. Costing petrol and bus tickets)!
Should I even bother buying this January's card to get the special pet, or will THAT be given to next year's gold payers?
OR are you going to offer a different set of prizes to people who buy gold status in 6 months. Am I going to have to buy THAT '1 year membership' to get THOSE items?
There are way too many loop holes for runescape mods to sell membership, and we're just not being given information before we buy deals.
I'm sure I speak for many people when I say:
WE NEED MORE INFORMATION AHEAD OF TIME!

Will future '1 month card' prizes be given to the next premium status people? Should we even bother?!?!
How about you let some membership run out before you put any more up for sale! I’m paid up til March now when the items are now free for premium members. But what’s coming up in the future that I’m going to miss out on?

Woohoo more insecurity for those who don't want to suck up to Jagex and their greedy ways. More money to fund stupid, useless updates, right? Meh. I'm fine with what I got already, just ******* remove the EoC rather than using a broom to brush all the community hate under the carpet.

The 1500 runecoins shown under the Gold Package benefits, are the additional runecoins when you get Gold package, and remember it comes with Bronze and Silver benefits, where Silver Package contains 500 runecoins. So it's 1500 + 500 = 2000 runecoins. You'll get 2000 runecoins if you purchase Gold package, hope I made sense :P

@ Safe Death,

Your normal membership as well as the amount you're paying for your normal membership will be paused, so you won't be paying for your normal membership until the package you bought has finished its time (3, 6 or 12 months). Note: When buying the packages, the payment is in 1 hit, not per month.

Alright so I've read through the threads and I'm pretty sure my question was already answered but I'd like it clarified just to be positive.
I am considering purchasing the Gold package since I have a recurring membership and most likely won't be cancelling it for a long long time.
Now what my question is: Will my recurring membership pause? As in, my credit card will not be charged for a year, as the gold package progresses? Loyalty point rates will continue to be given to me each month at the rate I'm currently receiving them? & then once my one year ends, my membership should continue on as a recurring subscription. Am I correct?

Yup, your recurring membership and its payment will both be paused. Loyalty points will be given to you like it normally does. Yup you're correct ;)
