I thought that when i told my clanmates that your next ploy will be pop-ups telling us to invite our friends, i was making a joke , now it seems that the jokes on me. When I was turned on to the game 4 yrs 10 months ago, it was from Yahoo news saying this was the 2nd best "free" to play online game out there, now your losing memberships by the thousands and you have gone to the things that turned me away from the other games out there.
You'll still have me hooked , but there is no way in hell I would consider telling any friends to play this joke of a game anymore. I can't have my friends chat open without the same adds from the same webites trying to sell me their gold. do you own them too? I know its going to take time to ban those 200m accts that the websites created, but if you would work on that b4 you scheme out more ways to microtrans our money from us,then maybe your time would be better spent. I have been told to turn it to private but that means I cant get any inquires about my clan or even use the feature for its intended purpose so im stuck with that.
Do you new ja$ex corp. owners even play this game or are you the bots that run rampant on the game trying to get your own characters up to and equal with the long time players that truly deserve their acomplishment capes. You know that you can fix it but since the bots are paying customers too, you know that you never will and so stop trying to lie to us that you care about the problem.
How about the gambling problem. It's ruined the ge, but all you would have to do is make it work but only in an area set up for that purpose, such as the Burthorpe games room and the people that want to go and gamble can do so and not take away from the rest of us last few that want to try and enjoy the game we started with.

geez, you guys just want to complain about everything don't you? Taking advantage of this is VERY difficult.

For starters, you can make a new account and get the 1 month free membership, yaaaaaay! But that account needs to be a member for that, meaning you have to pay for it. You are still paying for your own membership, so if you are paying one account to get another membership, you still paid for it! It is extremely pointless if you do not plan on using it.

People complain that now people can get free xp for themselves. Then you better have two computers or a way to log in with both at the same time to get the bonus xp. or, you would have to play on the new account yourself, which if you think about it, your main can make the xp much much faster. 10% of going from lv 1-10 crafting is little compared to the time spent on your main making dragon hide armor. make sense? And you still have to keep paying membership for this new account to get these benefits.

The only abuse I can see coming from it is if a player or a bot recruits a bot, who will gain a massive amount of experience. 10% of 1 million xp is 100k xp. That is still a good amount. going to 99 in a skill get the player an estimated 1.3 million xp. That is the only abuse I can see. But if Jagex catches this bot, they know who recruited it. If they see this player recruiting alot of botters, I am sure they will suffer the wrath of Jagex.

The best way to make the most out of this is recruit someone and hope they get addicted to RS. That is the only way to make the most of it.

Things I saw mentioned in this thread that needed some sense knocked into it.

1) Runescape is not too difficult. EoC has made it easier. If you still feel it's too difficult even after EoC, you simply are not good at the game. Period.

2) This isn't an act of desperation. Although the pubbies would think otherwise.

3) I remember another wise person on the forums once said. "If the numbers go up, the haters say it's all the bots.. if they decline the haters say people are quitting."
The thing is the haters wouldn't know their butt from a hole in the ground. Yet, they stay just to troll the forums. Seriously, grow up, get a job or if you have a job, turn it into full time, you clearly have too much time on your hands if you are this concerned over Jagex who has been running for over a decade. Spoiled brats.

4) They said they won't relaunch "2006" in fact we all know there's a game out there like Runescape from the 2006 era. I would not recommend going to it, but you know, the angry little kiddies want their 2006 back and dwell in the past so long that they turn to such a game and get scammed then come crawling back here.

I find it funny, technology presses forward and you live in the past. Other games have evolved, and no one gives them hardly any crap. But by god Jagex operates like a normal gaming company and people have their tails in a twist. I'm on YouTube - Search me at Littlejayberry . Or don't. Up to you.

Their actions prove otherwise.

And if you think bots don't have a high impact on overall player count then just go bash ur head in with a shovel you bloody idiot. Watch the player counts on Monday and Tuesdays (after the update) and watch how many people drop just because bot clients crash.

lol cause u get exp even if u recruit a bot so every player is making new accounts to bot there lvls up but im not complety against eco like the idea ya its easy but they really should give people the option between eco and old rs kinda like they had the rs majority perfered more and classic both running at the same time BUT ANYWAYS RESPECT U FOR DEFENDING THEM AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS
