Yak Tracks suck.
You may not be actively doing them, but we're all doing them simply by playing the game. Face it, unless you log in just to bankstand or do not bother to log in to the game at all, you're doing Yak Tracks - either actively or passively.
Personally, I pretty much ignore this MTX trap (Really Kat? We had no idea! lol), but most of the time it's just in the background. On occasion, I will be in the middle of working on something when that annoying pop-up appears and lingers for longer than I would like. Then I'll claim my mildly useful to utterly useless reward, mostly so the damned pop-up doesn't nag me every time I log in.
As for the "event" itself, I have lost what little interest I had when I first started. The tasks become too grindy too quickly to hold my interest. The rewards, if you want to call them that, are garbage. What the hell happened to the Kill Monsters option? That was one of my favorites!
Then we have the actual reason Yak Tracks exist - to milk players for more cash by selling access to the premium track and selling bonds for task skips, so the FOMO folks need not fear they will miss out on the latest batch of renamed cosmetic crap only slightly different from all the crap they already have. Also, how many damned pets do you need?
