This: "
you dont have to do them.
personally i never do them, they just get completed for naturally playing how i play. and i will randomly collect the rewards when they are done
i do not like yak trak at all. thats why i do not do it.
however this type of content is amazing! for new players. it keeps them wanting to play, and it shows them new parts of the game they may not of seen of before. or would have known about otherwise.
not all content that is released is for us. it can also be for new players. and that is was yak trak is for.
so if for you its getting too much, then dont worry about it, you dont need to worry about it.
" misses the entire point of the OP.
Also, I'm glad that your gameplay lets you hit the Yak Trak goals, but not everyone can spend 8+ hours a day, 40h a week on the game, and with the recent changes to the game, that's what you need to do to "skill and kill" your way to the top of the Yak Trak instead of doing the arbitrary goals. I'd also argue (as a new-ish player) the goals are seriously difficult to attain without considerable gp outlay and consequently become daunting and unmanageable. They don't encourage me to "come back and want to play more". And before you say, "Then just don't play it", we know that is an option. Why suggest that? The statement shows a fundamental lack of understanding and empathy. Do you not have any part of the game that you *want* to do, yet wish was tweaked in a way that made it more enjoyable?
So I agree with the OP that a new re-evaluation should be done on the Yak Trak requirements. I doubt I'll hit the 70 levels in time without using up a significant amount of my skip tickets.
