Also, Haha. Progress. First company I've ever seen limit gacha to 18 and up.
Considering ppl can just fake their age, whats the real point of this?
Its not like anythings going to be upheld.
I know they say its to please the government, but still.
even though kids will do this, that is the rule jagex has set, which shines well on jagex doing this. of course it cant be overly monitered but now if things go badly especially if someone is under age they have the "we have an age limit set" and person x ignored this.
same with anything else thats 18+ on internet. it cant be enforced 100% but its there

Hey Jack
How's it going?
Good for the most part. Still drawing, still can't get out of playing gacha games, and still can't get a job to get off of Social Security. So not much in changes there.
Moms life is pretty sucky though. Abuse of the school district is finally catching up to her and she's being forced to look at an early retirement now to escape from it. Which has her feeling really depressed like she's the one screwing up.

Im just surprised they went this long without it before the government said anything.
I find it odd they let them off the hook for so long or didnt enforce this before now.
I mean governments have tried to change things. Multiple times. But the people running the big gameing companies have a lot of money to throw around for things like lobbying. And thois helps them to get their way and keep these things in games unregulated. Hence you get stories of kids stealing their parents credit cards and maxing them out on things like Fortnite or Genshin. Then you hear them crying on the internet about how their parents found out how much they spent, forced them to refund all their charges, and got their accounts banned.
