This solution, as unrealistic as it is, still wouldn't work. Autochat is a thing in OSRS. Players are allowed to repeatedly advertise their services. You can't just start muting/banning accounts unless it's absolutely clear that they are breaking the rules, such as advertising malicious websites or gambling. You can't ban/mute a player for asking for money or for potentially scamming. I'm not ever certain it's against the rules to tell players to watch a specific youtuber, so long as you're not linking directly to it. There's no 100% way to look at an account and instantly know if it's legit. Jagex isn't going to stick a mod at the GE on 1 world to just stare at accounts and be like "maybe that one's a bot?" for 8 hours a day.

If an account is autotyping something nefarious, it's pretty easy to see right away. I support the idea of a player/Jagex mod taking 5 minutes to "clean up" a few of these spambots.

It's extremely easy to tell. Stop by sometime and you'll know right away. And when did I suggest 8 hours/day? A Jmod/pmod dropping by 5 minutes at a time a few times per day would go a long way toward cleaning this up.

as we have already said

but ill add more info not related to why that wont work because we have already gone over that.

player mods are players, players first not rule enforcer are not paid. not a job. nor are they obligated to do anything. be good idea to read this

j mods have better things to do than stand in ge w302. that is a complete waste of time. that time could be spent actually doing something, instead of squishing ants in the kitchen.

also many pmods do do that. i can 100% say they do. yet it clearly doesnt help the issue overall, on top of that, many of these bots have scripts that have most osrs pmods on a list, and when they are in close proximity the auto typer stops.
