I got a solution. For whatever reason Runescape thinks oversized cartoonish boulders are really cool. But at some point they added 1 too many and now they are an eyesore. Even the previously acceptable ones have been dragged down by over-use.

They block paths, painting over the world map without a care. Not only are those boulders a questionable decision, their origin is in doubt. How did so many residual boulders come to lie in such convenient arrangements?

Only 1 creature on this planet is capable of being tricked into helping move a boulder like that. And there is a fair chance one of their corpses has been entombed at the bottom of every single one of those boulders. Less of an accident and more of a weak plan.

TLDR; mine one of those silly boulders to get between 1-700 cowhides, un-noted. The boulders DO NOT RESPAWN. One time use.

you know thats actually not a too insane idea. maybe only 12 of them scattered around but 12 minable hides is all you really need to make it work.

You want leather without having to kill cows? Ok then...

Of course, an easy solution would be to buy leather off the G.E. If that is not an option for you, I would advise you to go down into the Lumbridge catacombs on a busy world. Odds are good you will be able to collect 12 leather from drops other players aren't picking up, without having to attack anything yourself. Leather is dropped there often enough, so it shouldn't take a lot of time if there are others fighting monsters while you are there.

It will 100% be faster than looking for cow rocks in the moo mine. :P

Cow rocks in the moo mine :D absolutely funniest thing I've read in a long time ..Laughed for 5 min and still snicker every time i see a cow. Thx for making my day

Bit of a pedantic rant lmao.

But fair enough.
pedantic or not im not happy having to wait until i get lucky with an impling or raise cows to get leather without killing something when ive had 99 in mining and smithing since the rework came out. ive leveled 3 other skills to 99 and working on a 4th now. wheres my cow rock!?

Guess that's a side effect the game mode of you imposed on yourself. Training hunter, thieving, or farming to get cow hide or leather are easy enough - no need to change the game for a single player's self imposed game mode. Anyways, wouldn't that make the game mode "too easy" anyways?

Anyways, get mooooo-ving on getting that leather.

oh i will eventually, have my glorious bars waiting for the leather now. now if the devs would stick to their words and add a way to get leather through mining or smithing!

Kill the cow with a pickaxe. Same concept as mining.

All these cow-related puns cattle-driving this thread, steering it to parts unknown...

Positively cow-tastrophic! :O

It would appear some of you are drinking a lot of de-calf.

Ok, my work here is done. :P

"...From The 'Scape" is very nearly here.
