I know this isn't what you really want but I've been playing OSRS as an Iron Man and it's pretty much the closest thing I feel you can get to RSC., certainly in terms of progression.

I found in RSC that as there were not that many players I had to do pretty much everything independently anyway (apart from when there were kind people giving me stuff randomly).

Might be worth giving that a shot.

I also greatly miss RSC, but I think there are many good reasons why the servers were shut down: the RSC servers were pretty inactive. It was mostly botting by the end. The fact that Jagex maintained them as long as they did is pretty unprecedented. I never found anyone to talk to except occasionally in Draynor on world 1.

Losing RSC is a hard pill to swallow but the writing was on the wall for a long time. The community was virtually nonexistent, and it just isn't realistic to keep a game like that up purely for symbolic purposes.
