How about you look at it as a convenience charge.
You can either sell your items the traditional way and get full whack for it, or you can pay the charge and let the GE do all the hard work for you.

it's such a lazy solution. Jagex should instead implement some kind of useful (or God forbid, fun) new feature which costs a lot of GP. An in-game tax in the grand exchange is arbitrary and ridiculous.
In what way is it lazy?
If you think there is a better way of removing GP, why don't you post it in the Suggestions forum?
Remember, it has to be effective over a very long period of time.

Because I don't work for Jagex. It's not my job to come up with good updates.
It's lazy because it's arbitrary and adds nothing to the game. It takes away coins that players earn for nothing in return. The coins just disappear. It's ridiculous. And so are you for pretending not to see it.

How do you know it's a lazy update when you yourself can't think of anything that's any better?
Why do you think Jagex would be able to come up with anything better?
What if a better solution simply
does not exist
?
How can you know for sure if you've not tried thinking about it yourself?
And whilst you don't work for Jagex, maybe your input on the Suggestions forum could sway how updates are implemented in the future, then you may not need to come to the forums to complain about them once they are here
@RELATlONSHlP ~ Some of your posts have been removed because they target other posters rather than addressing the topic you have put forth. A primary forum rule is to be respectful of others and your off-topic posts were not respectful.
Additionally, a discussion thread, even in rants or especially in rants, will have a range of opinions, some of which wil not agree with your opinion. You can not order those who have a different opinion to not post on your thread. As the owner of the thread, you are expected to maintain the thread so that there is respectful discussion of the topic by all, incuding opinions opposite yours.

so you dont have anything better to suggest at all?
thats a shame if you actually had one, it may replace it. and then youll be happy. but instead you sulk? thats not good
if you care about the game and want to see it improve thats what the suggestions are for. to do that. doesnt matter its not our job. its something we want to see in the game we enjoy. to make it better.
if your response is just "not my job" then its clear you just dont care. which makes it odd to rant about anything when you dont care overall
its not an update that sucks or doesnt suck. it just is because its for the health and longevity of the game.
Fact is they did the opposite of trying, they added new tiers of alchables. The Christmas event is like a vending machine that is broken and all the goodies fell out.
Endless piles of money bags along with small stars, lamps and turkey legs. There are so many that people are asking for an auto collect feature because collecting all that money slows down our profit making.
