I think the 'glory times' of Rants were a little before my time, but I think I can do a little bit of editing to an age old Rants classic from a screenshot I had lying around that will probably bring back memories.....

Rants was my introduction to message boards, lol. I was 12 years old in 2006 when I discovered this place, and have been in an argument on the internet almost daily since.

The RS Rants forum will always hold a dear place in my heart. I was present for the wilderness ditch, (famous pker)'s ban (You know the one. Yes, the one with the mystic and Karil's bow), and free trade removal riots all organized here, lol.
Casual legacy trash of 20 years in RS, writer of Skyrook Gorge (and other books) irl


Should the forums truly go; almost anyone from here is free to add me in-game.

Holy shit seeing that old MMH ASCII is like unearthing an ancient hieroglyph. Thank you for posting that, I love it.

I think my proudest moment as a troll was calling his eyepatch a “noob patch” and him subsequently updating his avatar to have a left eyepatch (which I also sported at the time).

Oh man, all the acsii "art" we used to see posted in here!

The MMH one was pretty tame compared to some....erm... more "adult" images.

after soon 20 years as an active player im bummed out to see one of the last real places of runescape nostalgia, i think this is a tragic end to a fantastic community. I dont personally interact on reddit and or x or discord. I will always (till the end) use forums and well thanks for everything and i guess myself will be lost to the community without a place to interact. Goodbye my old friend.
