Proof is in the bot busting streams they have. No need to provide it myself when the mods do it for me.
Just because you might ignore them doesnt mean it isnt proof.
Bot busting streams and post only tell us the number of bans, but does not tell us what percentage of account were bots. Idk, maybe you missed it, but I did use percentages in my question.
5000 bots sounds like a lot, does that fit your definition of "good chunk"?. However, when compared to the 287 million accounts created, it is nothing, it'd only be 0.0017%. However, when accounting for inactive accounts, the percentage goes up again, but we have no idea how many player are actually still active.
What number do we take? Accounts with active membership? But that includes accounts that have bought membership but never logged in, either because they stopped playing but had premier membership, or wanted to keep grandfather rate but aren't motivated to play. Or MAU? MAU still includes accounts that log in once each month even if they don't do anything.
So tell me, what even counts as "good chunk", and what portion of the playerbase is actually bots. And what about the bots that aren't busted? How do we know that RS3 bots aren't more sophisticated at dodging bans than OSRS?
I am fully aware of bot busting streams and stats that they used to post occasionally, but are you aware of the kind of claim you're trying to make and the importance of backing it?

Yet they are as they do benefit your acc the same way TH does so how ppl think they arent is beyond me.
You can use them to buy items thus the benefit.
Being a member greatly accelerates your account progression, so by your definition, membership should be parked under MTX as well. Good thing we're using Jagex's on definition or everything would be a mess.
