Adding my support. Very bad move to kill the forums and expect everything on them can easily migrate to Discord. It cant.

Clans are going to seriously suffer from this. Can I turn in a paper without citing all sources?

I believe the forums are not used because the lack of any support from the official side which forced the community to move offsite. If the JMOD support was here, the community would be here.

Many people don't want to use discord etc and the forum is the place they can find information and like minded people , particularly for clans. You should be putting resources into making the forums what they used to be, with the other sites as an optional add on, not wiping your hands of a valuable resource.

Over 8 years ago, I returned to the game after a few years break, having only played ftp. I was lost and confused with the game and the new experience of trying the game as a member. I made a post in a "looking for a clan" forum thread, and through that I found myself a clan that guided and supported me. Over 8 years later I'm still playing the game, enjoying game time with the same clan as over 8 years ago. Now holding the deputy owner rank, supporting other new and confused players like I used to be.

Without the forum I would not have found the clan and I would most likely not have kept playing the game for so long.

External platforms are not for everyone, so I ask Jagex to keep the forums.

Games such as Runescape and others alike need forums. Though they may not be as active as Jmods like perhaps rather than deleting them work on changing it? Bring a bigger and better use for the forums, add more things to it. Do something.
Don't just remove them!

So-called social-media sites are vile instruments of Zamorak, and I will have nothing to do with them!
