The tragic reality is that there's some people out there only aspiring to cause others grief without any real motive.

some have motives spanning many life times.....

I was a native whose family was burned alive by white people so when i see forests/farms turned into buildings and the animals pushed further out, not cared for anymore.....

I don't seek grief for people, but todays world is against spiritual people like myself, i decode pathways of ones choices and prevention measures given i have 7 past lives conflicting with this one.

I gave some warnings, people called me delusional...

World gave me my motives to have the world collapse in a 'correction' world event, i posted how to stop covid 19, i got slammed and banned...I now face huge conflicts of 20X past suicide as my #1 motive is saving lives

^Its a 2 method street of choices, i help change things, no one dies.....but yeah no one listens so option 2 hits the table.....world is forced into a chess game only i can read, do i prevent it? do i let it happen knowing they hate me?

Across the chess board we go in this life, todays society ripped my family off, from trying to remove my step dads pension to policies from banks after his death to refuse 15k on house because they can take our house.....

^you deem it game over for society, we must stop causing people pain, at all costs they must learn.

No doctor can help me, "What brings you in to today?"...."world is greedy for $$$, cares nothing for lives so i cursed them with all the negative energy in the world" O_o

World War 3 - Earth vs Us.....Earth wins i'll be saddened badly but i'll accept it, We win and we should learn from it to rebuild our society systems.

I am the worlds most dangerous activist not for my actions, if i see a downfall to an enemy, i'll gladly let it happen. their bad choices are my weapon.

^i know where their choices will lead them, My motives are clear to just let it happen

Perhaps a change in title would assuage the situation.

Something along the lines of "Healthy Gaming Habits" or "Healthy Lifestyle" perhaps. This would encourage people to post positivity rather than negativity, and allow those who may be feeling negative to read and comment on such threads.

There's certainly plenty of knowledge amongst our player base on such topics, and we should be able to share this somehow.

I know there won't be any perfect solution to this, but there never is for difficult topics.

I really appreciate the idea!

But I think Mental Health should stay within a sub forum, Off Topics specifically, rather than a sub forum in itself.

I myself have a mental health thread but my aims were similar to yours - to inform of different ways we can approach mental health. So your example would be prime - sharing how we can facilitate a healthy relationship with gaming.

I work in the mental health field and I’m observing some challenges when it comes to being vulnerable on a forum like. There is an identity attached to our gaming avatars. We’ve personified our characters. Our characters in some way represent who we are. So being vulnerable in a gaming space can be quite difficult because you’ve exposed yourself to the public.

Ideally, if we were to check in on our RuneScape friends, it would be over PMs rather than on the forums, I believe. It’s more dynamic to have a conversation, especially when you’re vulnerable, over real-time chat rather than on forum posts.

When it comes to being vulnerable, I believe that you have to honour and hold the space for the person who is bearing themselves to you. Unfortunately, the public is not likely to do that. So we’d have to keep those things private.

Aside from that, I agree with you that sharing general information like coping strategies that can assist with mental health should be welcomed!
