So, you finally decided to start using the RuneScape Forums...

What was your first Forum interaction and how was it?

I will be totally honest here I never used these forums until recently and I have been playing this game since 2005. I never needed it being an Admin of a fan site ( now retired ) . Decided to finally check this place out and I have to say I never seen so many folks treat each other with so much disrespect!
I can honestly say I read more internet bullying here then I read helpful advice or just people treating each other with SOMEWHAT respect! Sadly, I do not plan on staying around these forums much, will pop in here and there but that's about it. Honestly HLF is the worst!


Remember people " Words are like Weapons " and that there are real people behind those posts!

P.S. Mods need to do more then just clean up the spam! Just sayin....

My first time coming to the forums, I actually didn't even know how I ended up here, or what it even was! Lol. I sorta just clicked my way around through different sections, reading different discussions and topics. Back then around 2004 or 05, before Free Players could post, every person I saw posting, I thought it was Jagex staff only who could post. One day I finally subscribed for the first time, started engaging slowly into the forum community. I was quite a bit nervous, didn't know what to expect! Right now 10 years later I'm just going with the flow, having fun and enjoying every bit of the forums despite my post counts. Sometimes I just come to read rather than just post! :)

Despite the fact that I'll occasionally see others try out-posting and somewhat disrespect each other, I try to stay out of that because words are like weapons and I do not condone that type of behavior.

My first forum experience, probably when I first began playing the game. I used to use the forums to buy items, as I did not like standing in a populated area and ask if anyone was selling x item, over and over. So I used to forums to locate individuals that had an active thread and/or I would simply post that I needed an item and wait for someone to send me a private message.

Later, I joined a community, and worked to help the leadership of that community grow it. However, the leader of that community could not continue playing Runescape, and I guess we lost contact.

Now, I use the forums to just read game updates, and occasionally, answer questions if I knew the answer.

The forums have really made some changes over the years!

I browsed and posted the odd thing since the beginning of 06. I started using them more when I joined a clan, which needed to be bumped. When I became leader of the clan I was even more active.

Up until last year I stuck to clan thread and Off Topic for the most part. However with Off Topic becoming less and less active I branched out into other areas.


First thread was probably selling runes.
