I'll still be the first to mention that I'd like to see some roadmap for the year.

At least verifying a few of the big and intermediate pieces of content ... and not the stuff that we see annually.

I mean ... yeah ... a Spring/Easter event, a H'ween Event, an Xmas event ... but we have those almost every year.

If they were going to tease a "Summer Olympic Event" instead of a return of the Beach ... ok .... that'd be slightly noteworthy.

They already verified the big content "almost immediately following the end of EGW" but they won't want to spoil the fun as it is lore based like the EGW theme updates throughout 2021.

I definitely want to know more but AFAIK RS3 Jmods want to tell too but as they stated in the livestreams somebody didn't allow them to.

Dilbert I was trying to be somewhat generic given that Runefests have had a lot of content teased.

Invention was teased back in 2013, it didn't come out till 2016.
Mining/Smithing rework was teased in 2013. We didn't get that released until 2019.

Things like a day/night cycle, weather, and the Church of You were talked about, but never came out at all.

I was simply using the examples of the Avatar Rework and Bank Rework as things that Jagex said they would do, but the technical issues were far greater than they expected.

The last ever Runefest we had was in 2019 and obviously we are in 2022 now. This is a list of what being revealed in Runefest 2019:

New pets associated with Player-owned ports, minigame, clue scrolls, etc.
City of Senntisten quest
Elder God Wars Dungeon
Managing Miscellania rework

Character silhouette behind walls
Interaction highlights
Movement smoothing
The next two are extremely experimental and it is possibly they will never have a release date.

Movement prediction
Faster tick rate, from 0.6s/tick to 0.1s/tick"


All except the minor planned update of Misc Kingdom Management and the major faster tick rate update have been released with loads of unrevealed but vastly useful content like PvM Hub. Managing our Kingdom was purposely replaced by Lunar Spellbook and Penguins Rework and Faster Tick rate is wanted but due to game engine issue it will take more time.

RS3 used to have issues releasing revealed content on time before 2019, but since the new project cadence brought in by Mod Warden, the RS3 team has been hitting all the key marks.

You can weep or laugh or both but the fact is they have already told us there will be at least 2 big updates, 1 in combat and 1 in skilling starting at the end of February this year and then there would be a Grand Master Quest and the Final Boss of EGW before we embark into new adventures immediately following the finale of EGW.
